http://magictravelblog.com/2011/12/old-town-guesthouse-melaka-malacca-review/ - we created a video for this review - Lets get this out of the way, this review is going to sound a little too good to be true. We LOVED Old Town Guesthouse. In terms of cleanliness, location, friendliness, facilities and price we’re yet to find a better place. Sure, we’ve stayed in places with a grander bathroom...

Having travelled widely across SE Asia staying in quite a few cheap guesthouses we were really excited after reading the glowing reviews of the old town guesthouse. It did not however live up to our expectations. It was clean and reasonably priced for Malaysia, but the location was not the best being slightly out of the centre but being on...

We stayed 3 weeks over there. It's such a lovely guesthouse. It's very clean and for the price it's still. It's a bit outside the action, but still not too far: 5 min walk to the riverside. We are vegetarian, and it was the right choice. It's surrounded by 2 indian restaurants and across the street there's a chinese food...

If you're looking for a clean and friendly guest house in Melaka - this is it! I've never seen anyone mop the floors as often as here. Apparently they even repaint the rooms every 6 months. And it's easy to like the spacious common rooms... The location is a bit off, but it's still great value for money : )

We stayed at the Old Town Guesthouse for 3 nights with our baby and highly rate this place. The owners were away on holiday, but the couple that were looking after it were very friendly and kindly helped keep our baby entertained. The rooms are simple, but clean, but it's the large communal space that makes this establishment stand out....

A wonderful home stay experience – Loved it! The guesthouse has a very nice feel to it and you would instantly feel it the moment you walk in the door, it is very spacious, bright, airy, and spotlessly clean. It is run by a lovely couple who would really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant...
