We stayed for a 3 nights in Old Town Guesthouse, but could have stayed longer if we had the time. The owner, Chua is lovely and very knowledgeable about Melaka and the rest of Malaysia. He helped us plan our stay in Melaka and with where to go next in Malaysia. The guest house is clean and comfortable, and the...

We stayed for 4 nights with our family. Centrally located, extremely clean, very nice communal areas. Friendly and informed owner. Highly recommend. Good value too. I really loved the location as it feels more 'real' but yet within minutes walking of all Melaka has to offer.

We had a great 4 nights here! It's an easy walk to the old town and close to loads of cheap and delicious restaurants. Chua is what made this place really great though - he's so friendly and helpful. And the decorations on all the walls are amazing!

The owner was so kind and welcoming as soon as we arrived. He gave us a lot of information about the area, including where to go and where to eat. We were very grateful for his time and knowledge. The room was very clean, just like all the communal areas. And our air con worked well, and the wifi was...

Cool and quirky guesthouse, walls decorated with paintings, some were buildings from around Melaka. Owners were really nice and knowledgeable, always more than willing to give advice on places to visit and where to eat! We had a private double room (all with shared bathrooms). Everywhere was extremely clean, air con worked perfectly. Also a very nice communal area. Breakfast...

With out doubt one of the best places you'll stay in Asia, the rooms aren't the biggest or best and the property not the newest, but the location, the facilities and the host chua make the stay enormously rewarding, the museums, church's, mosque, china town and little India all on your doorstep, plenty of shops plenty of restaurants, malls and...

We loved our stay here as the owners are so friendly and kind! Their place is spotless with everything a traveller would need. We are older travellers who found this place to be quiet and met all our needs. Great neighbourhood. Easy to walk everywhere. Highly recommend!

Everything about my stay at the Old Town Guesthouse was great. They are probably the friendliest people I've encountered during my 6 weeks of travel. Breakfast, coffee, tea, water is all provided and also a lot of advice about where to go in Melaka. Not right in the old city, about a 5 minute walk, which is nice to be...

I had such a great stay at Old Town Guesthouse. The entire place is beautifully painted, comfortable, well maintained, and clean. The host was very friendly, giving me a tour and explanation of the city when I first arrived. I even got to do some laundry for free. I truly felt like I was home, they took such good care...

We stayed here 5 nights and would definitely recommend it to other travellers on a budget. The best part was our fantastic host, Choa. He showed us around the guesthouse as soon as we arrived and gave us tips on what to see and where to eat (although he's always around somewhere if you have a question, he is quiet...
