We like the price, the location, the comfortable bathroom on the ground floor and the authenticity of the Melakan house. We find the noise made by the nearby religious buildings were too much and too early.. The mosquitoes were too aggressive. I would pay a bit more for better sleep.

Nice atmosphere, clean rooms at a great location. You can use a computer for surfing for free (30 min free plus 6 RM per hour), Wifi free, and a frienfly hotelier. I had a great stay here and would come again.

The hostel is nice with ok facilities. Everything was good until a girl in another room was having a job interview the one day. The owner got progressively angry was using the room when he could have just asked her to move. He kind of kills the mood around. I would stay here if the other hostels are full

The interior of the hostel is nice and the hostel is really clean. But what makes this place special are the people who work there and who stay there at the same time. Most of the people working there are backpackers who got stuck / wanted to get stuck in this amazing place. The owner is also one of the...

I just wanted to stay for 2 nights and then stayed mixh longer. This place has a nice social atmosphere, clean rooms and is in a great location. The weekend night market is just a couple of steps away, just as many restaurants (Chinese, malay, Indian, international) can be found a couple of steps away and the staff will point...

So much about this hostel is great, but I got eaten alive by bed bugs! I stayed here in August and had been travelling since April around India and SE Asia. I had never encountered bed bugs until this place. I have given a poor rating because when I told a member of staff about the bed bugs he was...

First of all, at booking none told me that your reservation is for a building a block down from the main one, with none at the front desk, no services, a dirty hangout place. The room was not 100% clean, especially the bathroom, although I guess it was all acceptable. Wifi does not work that well. Sorry, it is not...

Thanks Victor for arranging the car to pick me up when I was exhausted from from the long journey. Is a lovely and elegant place, and right in the heart of Christ church and jonker street. Simple and sweet, feel like home. I was a bit hesitant to choose guest house initially but it was a more engaging experience than...
