Serafin the owner is a charming sweet man. The food is very fresh so takes a little bit of time to come which is fine because of the calming river view. I love eating and hanging here. The area of the river is very peaceful and great to catch a boat for a river trip. I thoroughly recommend

This riverside beach hut is run by the most friendly, chatty and welcoming owner. He hugged us as we came in and we spent our few days getting to know him and the wonderful house girls. However, the place needs a LOT of work. It is still in its early stages of development, and we also went in off season... More

Can I start by saying that this place is still very new and has massive massive potential. A picturesque setting next to the river, what makes this place so far is the wonderfully charismatic owner and his amazing staff. We stayed here right at the end of season, so the site was stripped bare and staff ready to leave for... More

My Partner and myself where recommended this little gem whilst staying at Patnem Beach. It's under 10 minutes on a Tuktuk and it situated on the river. You can get amazing food and drink or even hire kayaks and meander down the river to see the local monkeys on the river edge. We managed to spot a whole family not... More

went for drinks and dinner to this place with husband. The bartender was quite polite but after a while the drunk, bitter owner walked upto us. Before we could realise whats happening, this guy started uttering obscenities and shouting at us. He literally drives us out of his place shouting never to come back, all over nothing (!?). Of all... More

We stayed three nights 18/19/20th February 2014. We got lost on the way having got to palolem - the taxi dropped us at the very end of the road where there is a sign for ordo sounsar - Do not go in that direction you end up walking over bridges and going into fields. Instead walk through a gate, a... More

Shelley and her family are wonderful hosts, the grounds are secluded and there are monkeys and hummingbirds. It might be slightly more expensive than the options on the beach but its way more quiet. The food was good, nothing special but decent enough, I loved waking up and grabbing a cup of tea to drink on my little porch! Heavenly!... More

My parents stay here every year and it is their favoutite place to go! Very friendly staff, beautiful, quiet location and lovely huts with outdoor bathrooms! This place is set at the very end of the beach on the side of the jungle and you really do feel away from the hustle of Palolem! There are a few chill out... More

Ordo Sounsar is great. The huts are simple, but exactly what you are looking for in Palolem. Situated across a rickety wooden bridge at the north end of the beach, it's a bit separated from the business of the rest of the beach, but still only a few minutes walk from anything. The hotel is adorable, and the staff are... More
