This hotel has a huge garden with swimming pool right in the middle of the historic centre of Olinda. Rooms probably need refurbishment, but the price-quality is excellent. We enjoyed the safety feeling, the fact we could park our car inside the compound, the gentleness of the staff, the swimmling pool and the amazing garden. The restaurant offer is quite basic traditional food, but there are so many options at walking distance that this is less important (we recommend Beijupira). Will definitlely come back if we go again to Olinda. Breakfast is up to standard for the price paid.
Pleasant hotel in an oasis of gardens around the pool. The welcome was friendly and the rooms clean with an outlook onto tropical plants. The rooms are air conditioned. There was no issue of mosquitoes in February so long as normal precautions were taken. On one evening the meal was very slow but thereafter, no problem.
After three years in a row, I still enjoy this hotel a lot. Architecture and landscape design are superb, well and harmoniously integrated with an organic shaped adult swimming pool, beside a smaller one for enfants. Rooms are OK, with shower bathroom, confortable and good size beds, a small balcony, TV, wifi and air-conditioning. Good room and food service. Specially well-served breakfast, with local fruits juices like acerola, manga, caju, and others. Sufficient portions of appetizers, seafood, meat and pasta plates options which could have their quality a little bit improved. Another suggestion is to take advantage of local available and diversified fruits and use them in the drinks prepared, like "caipirinhas" and cocktails, besides the default lemmon, passion fruit (maracujá) and pineapple (abacaxi). Due to small depth of the adult pool (5 feet aprox.), water gets discomfortably warm. It is physical (nothing natural available strategy to minimize). Some heat exchange process could be prospected like circulating the pool water with the air-conditiones evaporators. But solutions like that, although sustainable, cost a good amount of money. Still regardind the pool water, maintenance should be more careful with water cleanliness, due to the presence of cheical substances on water surface, like sunblockers. The surrounding noise is low. I suggest maintenance team measures the sound level of split-type air conditioning, specially when compressor kicks-in.…
Best place to stay in Olinda, beautiful parc, Nice good, lots of local fruits for breakfast + tapioca etc. Only bad point: Coffee and Tea could be better. Located in the old Olinda close to the center but quiet hotel. Nice staff but in Brazil, it’s a general characteristic
Stayed three days here. . . . . .cant really fault it. 'Twas a bit drab for £120, but my wife assures me it was the going rate. The staff were friendly enough, though lacked anyone with a good command of my mother tongue. The breakfast was Brazilian, which for me consisted of scrambled egg on bread, some fruit and some cakes. It's got a pool that was popular. . . . Overall ok
