We stayed at this hotel on three separate occasions. The only reason we stayed there after our first awful experience was because we had memorised the wifi internet password (we paid Rs/100 for the first hour, but they didnt change the password thereafter) and we really needed the internet at the time. Our room (112) was next to a noisy...

Stayed at this hotel unexpectedly after we could not find the hotel we had booked. We paid Rs1295 + 10% for a standard room on the top floor. The room was reasonable but there were a few issues like the TV was very blurry and had no international channels. No sheets for the bed and a carpet that was dirty...

We spent five days during Pooja time in Kolkata. We chose VIP International for economy and convenient location. Just off the happening Park Street full of eateries and the legendary Flurries and bang on Free School Street (Mirza Ghalib St) - a veritable haven for bargain hunters, especially for old rare books, music and curios, this hotel certainly gives you...

we never had planned to stay at this hotel, but our initial choice turned out to be rather unfriendly and disgusting. We had to then go back to Howrah station, spend an hour or so on the internet looking for alternate accomodation options. After the search we hopped into a cab and asked to be taken to the 'tourist' district...

This is a budget hotel for business traveller's located very near to the park street. The rooms are slightly smaller but clean. Recommended to eat out at nearby Park Street eateries instead of the in room dining. Do check out the tariff before hand. Park Street is 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Worth the price to stay though!

I stayed in this hotel for a night. The hotel was difficult to find. Cleartrip.com did not have its correct phone number on its booking page or on the voucher. The room was tiny (8' x 10'), the bathroom was tinier (4' x 6'), There was no cover sheet available on the bed. Two musty, prickly blankets were in the...

Our room at the Hotel VIP International was booked through an Indian website whose name escapes me. It turns out that there are three hotels on the same street that have very similar names, i.e. "Hotel VIP Intercontinental." After finding the one that we had booked, surprise-surprise, the room we had booked was "not available," but a more expensive suite...
