Really a very pleasant experience of stay. One of the good and economical option in the city of Kolkata when you are travelling with you beloved friends or family. staff behavior was good as well as the customer service, overall a good place

I would prefer to stay at the railway station. Rooms are full with bugs 🐛, itchy bed could not sleep at all. Never stay here. Staff are a bunch of idiots. The ac is not working although they offered me ac room.

The hotel's conditions are poor, but it is also very cheap. If you are a budget traveller, you may consider it. Our stay was ok thanks to a nice staff. The city's average conditions of budget hotels is low, we were therefore not expecting more.

I was given a tiny room for rps 500 (after negotiating down from rps 600) which is absolutely ludicrous for the size and quality of the room, but I was at my wits end already dealing with dehydration and food poisoning when I arrived. I also had to pay up front- the only place to make me do so in...

First of all you must understand that there is Shams hotel, which is not that bad, pretty clean with AC rooms. And in the same building, there is Shams guest house, which is disgusting, dirty, no AC, dirty bed sheets and terrible toilets/showers. The staff was friendly but the last day there were really rude, they asked for tips openly,...

The hostel is situated in the central Kolkata, area can be a bit shocking if this is the first place seen in the city. This hotel is situated in a collapsing building near a narrow street in central Kolkata. The rooms are quite fine (with AC and WiFi) but with dirty sheets and staff behaving loudly, especially in the morning....

A just wanted a one night accommodation during my leisure trip to Kolkata/Sundarbans. This hotel is housed in a very old building on a narrow lane in central Kolkata. However the rooms are quite OK with air conditioning and free WiFi. The place was clean and looks decent including toilets. If you want a recent place without spending much at...

Oh someone could make a killing if they opened a decent, clean, value for money hostel in Kolkata (I'm looking at you Stops Varanasi). In the meantime Shams will do. This is the Shams with the door to the right, not the Shams to the left. It's not the cleanest, the sheets are certainly not fresh and the building feels...
