Booked a Mountain View room but was given a superior deluxe as the Mountain View room wasn’t available at time of checked-in. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise as the superior deluxe room came with heater and electric blanket, which the Mountain View room did not have. So

Although located on the central Mall Road, the approach to the hotel itself is a good 2 storeys climb and can leave you feeling breathless each time. First impressions when you enter are definitely not very appealing. The rooms aren't great either. The limited staff sincerely

Do they provide an electric kettle in the room?
No, there is not an electric kettle in the room, although we did not ask for one. Each night they brought us a flask of very hot water that we could easily have made coffee or tea with. (On a side note, they brought us hot water bottles every night and tucked them into the bed for us. It was lovely!)

1. I'd guess about 20 2. No, some of the attic rooms share a bathroom but they are cheaper & still have amazing views of the mountains 3. I don't know but we did get a taxi back to the airport from the Dekeling so they may be able to arrange a pick up 4. It is in the central area, some of the rooms without double glazing which face the road can be noisy from the traffic, those which face the back (although you'd not get the views) or those with double glazing are much quieter. It's a lovely place to stay in Darjeeling.
