I will never forget my time spent at Glenburn - it was truly magical and will always have a warm place in my heart. From the lovely driver Ranjan who picked me up from the airport with a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade and a picnic to the lovely, attentive managers Holly and Jemima who welcomed me with a green...

Its a long and winding steep hill that takes you to this idyllic location. The rooms are wonderful and in keeping with the location. The views are stunning and its is a wonderful place to relax, that said don't miss a trip to Darjeeling a fabulous and busy town. I'd take a day to see it. You can also enjoy...

We stayed for two nights in the wonderful setting of mountain scenery and colonial splendid isolation. The road access is difficult, but no more so than many locations we have visited in the sub continent. Rooms are splendid - large and airy with good quality fittings and great views when the mist clears from the mountains. The guest relationship managers...

Understated elegance, unobtrusive service and superb comfort food using the best of local produce with a focus on the hill cuisines of north east India sums up the Glenburn experience. Glenburn effortlessly creates the ambience of a country house weekend, with the guests mingling easily over evening drinks followed by a communal dinner around a cosy dining table with the...

This hotel is excellent, I will certainly return. From the pick up at the airport, tea on route and the well appointed rooms I really can't fault it, the views from anywhere in the hotel are breathtaking, the food, although limited in choice is excellent, if you like walking and enjoy peace and quite this would be a great choice,...

Some of the reviews are missing the point. If you want to spend your time whining about the road, then don't go. On the other hand, if you think of each destination as an adventure and you want to experience a wonderful property having only eight rooms, with great food and warm hospitality, then go to Glen Burn. You will...

The accommodation was very comfortable and charming. Food was plentiful and tasty. The local staff were charming. However the access road put us off venturing out more than our one trip to Darjeeling. We also had groups of travel agents visiting every afternoon which totally spoilt the feeling of calm and exclusivity. They took over meal times and seating around...

What a glorious place Gelnburn is, nestled on the hillside, surrounded by tea plants and with a magnificent view, if you're lucky, of the Himalayas at different times of the day. The road to the plantation is rutted and so makes the 40 minute drive pretty uncomfortable. However I believe this is to be rectified during 2017. The main part...

Nestled in a beautiful forested valley, surrounded by tea gardens and overlooking the river Rung Dung this is and idyllic location with views of Darjeeling, Sikkim and the Himalayas. Accommodation in large suites within tea plantation managers bungalow - all wonderfully decorated and furnished in mid 20th century style and with spectacular views. Meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner)...

We travelled from Pelling to Glenburn and the journey to put it mildly is HORRENDOUS. "Roads""do not exist and one can feel the bumps in every corner of your body. The last 45mins to an hour is equally bad but the place more than makes up for the travel hazard. Faye and Will (the outgoing Managers) take great care of...
