We stayed here for our first night ever in India (not including a sleepless overnighter in the Bangalore airport). This is a pretty hotel, what in the states we'd call a bed and breakfast. The staff are very accommodating, carrying our bags, bringing us tea on arrival, helping us with taxis and plans to make the most of our few...

This is a charming place. We had an antique-style four-poster bed with a mosquito net. The room had a/c so we did not need the net. They tried to pass on filtered water for drinking water rather than the sealed bottle water we were told to expect. My partner got stomach sickness but probably from something somewhere else. The people...

Been here for over 4 months now. Shemain, who owns and runs this place, is super hands on and does a marvellous job. The rooms are very tastefully done. While it sounds like a cliche, I mean it when I say that this place feel like home for me. To add to all this, they have some very interesting and...

I have to travel to Chennai every alternate week for work. I always stay at Frangi House as it makes me feel i am living in home away from home. The tastefully done up interiors add to the pleasure of the experience of living there. Just love the old world charm.

I spent more than a week here in August and have to say that, in spite of its rather impressive decor, this place leaves much to be desired. It lacks the facilities that come with any standard accommodation such as complimentary bottled water, intercom/telephone, kettle plus tea things, newspaper, etc. My toilet had a leaking wc, a cracked wash basin,...

We have just started a new company..and am the M.D...so we needed to stay at a nice place, which looked good, but still light on the pocket. So after delibrations, picked out this place right in the heart of nungambakkam..just behind apollo and near radisson..and boy, my choice stood vindicated. A really nice home converted into a stay, frangi house...

Stayed for three nights at the end of March & beginning of April. Nice and conditioned room, good bathroom and shower, pleasant public rooms and helpful staff. Also had a course of nice vegetarian dinners. Would return when back in Chennai.

I stayed here for a month on a work trip, and it was a quiet and friendly place to stay. The staff were attentive, but not overly so. I had breakfast every day and it was always varied and freshly cooked. I sometimes ate in the evenings too, and the food was equally good. If I needed a rickshaw or...
