This was the second time we stayed at the YWCA in Chennai. Remember the food being great which it still was. The staff this time around could have been a bit friendlier. Also our door on our room required 2 turns to secure the lock, however on one of the days, the cleaning staff left our room open. We returned...

Good service from the counter staff, and good communication by email re bookings. Lobby and general eating area clean if a little spartan. Our room was clean, but needed freshening up with a lick of paint. Air con antiquated and ugly, set into the window. Plenty of hot water, and sleep quality good. The location & amenities left a lot...

This is really a place of peaceful stay within the busy city of Chennai. The ambiance of this place is so different than any of the commercial hotels that you can enjoy the serenity even within the busiest part of the city. I've stayed at the YWCA International Guest house several times over the last 20 years, but this review is about the last time I stayed there, which was in August 2016. The Guest House is located on the Poonamallee High Road, a short distance from the Central Railway Station and is easily located. It is in a large compound and...

The YWCA international guest house is situated right in the heart of the city- with all possible facilities to access public transportation systems. The rooms are spacious and adequately furnished- though not luxurious by any standards. The restaurant offers buffet meals, which are freshly prepared and tasty. The place is quite peaceful, even though situated on a very busy stretch...
