I think its a good lactation for the rich and famous, no public transport, no shopping areas and currants nearby. Otherwise it was a god place with so many antiques shown, but that's not important here, we need an affordable place to stay.

We stayed two times within a period of 2 weeks, the first time was the deluxe room the second was the suite (small price difference) both rooms being on the ground level. The differences were on the size of the room and the TV. You get basic amenities... BUT... I tend to appreciate certain basic things, such as comfortable bed,...

The staff were all very obliging. The rooms were very clean - not brand new or anything, but well maintained. It could benefit from mosquito nets in every window, for guests who prefer an open window to the a/c. The only problem we encountered was that it was hard for taxi/rickshaw drivers to find.

Nice guest house with that homely feeling. Rooms are comfortable but wi if could be better . Nice lunch area and the food is very good value for the money. The neighborhood in chennai, boat club road, is really nice and peaceful place to walk around and yet it is only 10 min away from the main part chennai. Good...

a lovely home, thoughtfully converted into a guest house with lovely touches all the way through and its in a charming area away from the noise of chennai despite being so centrally located.Service is a little slow. A good bed and breakfast place in chennai. We stayed there just the one night so hard to review every single aspect.

No argument its a lovely home, thoughtfully converted into a guest house with lovely touches all the way through and its in a charming area away from the hurly burly of Chennai. Appearances over - my room was very gloomy with a view onto a washing line, it was noisy (whether from staff or neighbours) and it felt damp. I'm...

We really loved this hotel. It's more like the family home it once was, full of personalised furniture an pictures, with little nooks to sit an read, in a very quiet and peaceful street, far from the noise of the city. It's in a rather upscale neighbourhood, and it's easy to understand that this was once a very upscale home!...

Niketana is a beautiful Chennai home, converted into a warm guesthouse, with personalised service and excellent, attentive staff. The made-to-order breakfast is another highly positive feature, which I remember very fondly. However, I would not stay in this place again because of the surroundings. While Niketana advertises itself as being located in a very good neighbourhood of Chennai (which is...

Tucked into a peaceful corner of Boat Club Road, Niketana is an absolute gem of a non-hotel for a business traveler. The service is smart, personalized and efficient, the rooms are well-appointed, and food is wholesome. The breakfast spread is complimentary and extremely filling. The hotel also has a small gym for the fitness-minded traveler. A place I'll be happy...

I have been a regular visitor to Niketana for past 6 years and can not recommend this place enough to all who are looking for authentic classy stay experience. 1st its location off Adyar Boat Club Road – the toniest address, surrounded by elegant bungalows or premium low height buildings. Excellent place to walk in the mornings is a bonus....
