Loved this hotel - full of character, interesting artefacts and fabulous staff. It is really quirky and how I imagined hotels in India would be. True, it is tired, but in some ways that adds to its charm. Quiet location, and a great pool in which to relax after the hustle and bustle of Jaipur itself. Thank you Mr P...

I had a really great experience at this hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful - especially P. Singh, who made sure I had everything I needed. The decor is beautiful - like an old Indian castle, set in a garden with swimming pool. It was lovely coming back to relax there after a long day in the dusty busy...

Beautiful property that is sadly very rundown with rooms urgently needing some live. In 40c+ weather avoid, the rooms are hot to the point the floors are uncomfortable to walk on. Small, very old and poor condition of the AC means the rooms don't cool.

We were here in may, they have very reasonable prices. First time in India when we had good service. Very nice traditional hotel. Every day cleaning and nice people. Oasa of peace in midle of the city. :-)

We loved the Bissau palace and would definitely stay there again. An old princely palace converted in to a hotel, with great character, a fascinating history and lovely paintings adorning many of the walls. I found the staff to be particularly friendly and helpful - almost like we were visiting dignitaries or friends of the family. Also great food -...

This hotel has a great ambience, a lovely pool and the common area is very nice. It is a shame that this is all ruined by such awfully tired rooms. If the owners simply arranged for a lick of paint in all the rooms and new bathrooms, this would have gone from a 2/10 to a 10/10.

Old hotel. It's clean, comfortable and has character. The Wi-Fi is poor and only in reception area. Don't expect a lot and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It has character and the keys have bells. It's a tuk tuk ride away from the main areas and it is in a quieter gated area which is nice if you are looking to...

I can't understand the 4 star ratings of this hotel, it is without doubt the worst hotel I've stayed in. The bathroom in the room was dirty and infested with small bugs. The toilet seat In particular hadn't been cleaned for a long time. My feet were bitten over twenty times by bed bugs, the sheets didn't Cover the mattress...

On approach to the walled compound we were confronted with a swarm of tooting auto-rickshaws and motorbikes, swerving to avoid us and the wandering livestock. Thankfully, this heritage hotel offers an oasis of calm in a characterful but clearly poor area on the edge of the Old City. Our large ensuite room, situated off a charming, small inner courtyard, was...

We arrived around midnight with no booking and were made to feel very welcome. Initially the rooms we were shown we weren't very impressed with but the staff showed us some more and assured us that come the morning there would be much more choice as there was a large party checking out. True to their word we were given...
