The restaurant was small and the food ok, there are no real amenities to speak of, all staff were very friendly and helpful, the aircon in...

We reached the Village Retreat sitting in a cart, what I would call a tumbrel, drawn by a horse. Then after a welcoming drink we visited the village this was by camel cart, but I was too near to my camels bum for comfort. We were introduced to the villages whose children ran to meet us. We were made very...

We were the only visitors staying on the night we were there, but we were treated like royalty. We had the choice of a camel and cart or the farm truck. We opted for the farm truck, which they draped the seats with cloth for us. It was an experience of rural India at its best. We had a cookery...

Amazing service and very relaxing. Great insight into village life. Amazing staff but facilities basic and no wifi or TV. Hotel laid on entertainment and arranged a camel ride and cookery demonstration and massage. Food all organic and home grown and beautifully prepared. A great experience but one night more than enough

Stayed as part of an organised tour of India’s Golden Triangle Stayed in an individual thatched cottage with terrace - basic but adequate and comfortable. Staying here was a highlight of the tour, and gave a chance to get a sense of the real, rural India. Built by the local prince, it enables additional skills and interaction by the local...

Rooms are clean with air conditioning, beds firm ( which I like ) and comfortable. The electricity and water can be temperamental so choose carefully when to wash your hair and make sure you have gel or wipes...

This beautiful little lodge accommodation is out of this world. Basic but it is in the most beautiful surroundings. Lots of wildlife ! Rustic setting. It gives you the feel of good old Old India. I loved it here. Peacocks roam around. The lodge is spacious, tiled/carpet. Proper beds. Private bathroom with flushing toilet ! Air conditioning of two types...
