The Sea Palace is definitely nothing fancy. The rooms are small and sparse. That being said, the staff was great. I got really sick just as I got to Mumbai and spent the majority of my time in the room. Room service was fast and...More

It’s the tourist central of the city with a liberal dose of rich history, iconic eating and drinking joints and artistic connections that have found prominent mentions in Gregory David Roberts’ Shantaram. Stroll down Colaba Causeway for kitschy street shopping bargains. Take a break at the many
laid-back legendary bars & restaurants like Cafe Mondegar or Leopold Café. The vibrant vibe of Colaba is incomplete without the buzz at Mumbai’s most iconic tourist hub, Gateway of India & The Taj Mahal Hotel on the parallel lane. Sprinkled with designer boutiques, quaint cafes with rooftop sea view, the promenade is a popular route to go to Elephanta Caves & Alibaug.
