I visited Palmar for a yoga retreat and it was an amazing experience. The tents were very clean and comfortable to sleep in. The food was amazing. The beach is exactly what you picture for serenity. The staff were excellent and really took great care of the guests. The outdoor yoga studio was amazing and super tranquil with a view...

We spent two nights in the King Jungalow because it has it's own bathroom, we are older and didn't want to walk to the bathrooms in the middle of the night. All of the tents look great and everyone seemed to be having a great time even when it rained. Lots of folks playing cards and board games, beautiful beach...

This place really is beautiful! It's a tad overpriced for what you get especially in Central America but it is nice. We had a private tent with 2 single beds (they had no doubles left) comes with mosquito nets a fan and a locked storage box. The shower and toilets are communal but always kept clean. The eating and drinking...

We stayed at Red Frog Beach Resort, and walked here every day to have a drink and eat fish tacos from beach stand called Nacho Mammas. Tent Lodges look really comfortable and secure. Friendly staff! Great food & drinks inside the open air restaurant.

Our group was staying at a different location down the beach and stumbled upon the Palmar Tent Lodge in need of a drink! The environment was laid back and inviting. After having a few cocktails we noticed a chalkboard with the word Yoga on it. My husband and I have been practicing for only a year but were eager to...

We stayed here for about 4 days in July 2015 and had an excellent time. The beach and surrounding jungle are excellent and the owners are quite nice as well, hanging out with us and even showing us a good time in Bocas del Toro. Especially if you are a backpacker passing through the Bocas del Toro area, look no...

I recently stayed 6 nights at Palmar for a yoga retreat, my friend and I stayed in the shared dormitory. Our cabin was tidy, comfortable and spacious. There are 2 bathroom areas, each with a sink/mirror, 2 showers and 2 bathroom stalls, all were well kept for outdoor facilities. I always felt safe, comfortable and happy during my stay at...

I attended a yoga retreat here and was extremely impressed with everything about this beautiful site. I went into it a little nervous about sleeping in a tent, but that quickly went away the first night when the sound of the rain put me into one of the most relaxing sleeps I've ever experienced. Upon arrival, my heart was immediately...

If you're traveling on a budget it might be best to skip Palmar, or only go for a few nights. Though the $14/night price for the dorms seems affordable, and it is, you are completely reliant on the lodge and the one other over priced restaurant for nourishment. We loved Palmar and the staff. We went during low season so...

I attended a yoga retreat and stayed in one of the floored tents with my adult daughter. It was exotic and tranquil. The eco lodge with rainwater for showers and solar power for light just increased the sense of adventure. MK and Aaron were incredible host. They made each of us feel welcomed and special. The food was fantastic and...
