Can't get enough of Palmar & Red Frog! The beach is amazing, the tents are clean, it's a beautiful property! And the best part is that there are no cars. The staff really does a great job of ensuring that your stay is nothing less than amazing... shoutout to Doug & Dave for being great bartenders and the reception staff for...

Palmer is located in the jungle along Red Frog Beach. The views are perfect, the tents and cabins are unique, the staff are by far the best, and the food is delicious. Tours can be arranged through he hostel and there are daily activities and yoga at the lodge. Great atmosphere and great place to relax for a few days....

I am pretty sure this is one of the best places in Bocas. A hostel in the jungle, straight on the beach, blue sky, turquoise water. You can sleep in a tent or if you travel on a budget in a dorm. Your days will exist out of sun basing, eating, chatting, walking and if you want yoga with ocean...

Our experience at Palmar was fantastic. The setting is amazing, with a beautiful sandy beach and shady jungle canopy all within a stone's throw. We stayed in the beautifully furnished cabins that offer personal shower and toilet, and complete privacy. The food and drink at the bar was fantastic (try the fish tacos!). In addition, the staff was highly attentive...

A truly incredible place. From the moment we arrived Juan who checked us in was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our eco-tent was clean, cool and comfy although you spend most your time on the beach. The whole vibe of Palmar is paradisal, with an amazing beach, great food and drinks and above all an amazing team who are there for...

This place will forever live deeply in my soul. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The beach view is unmatchable to any degree, with a quick 10 minute walk through the jungle where you are treated to views of monkeys, sloths, various types of birds, and caimans living in the pond along the walk. After arriving on...

Good things first: wonderful setting, beautiful beaches with white sands turquoise water plentiful of palm trees, nice bar/restaurant, far away from the crowd, the wilderness (birds, animals, especially the caimans) Negatives: all the plastics in different phases of decomposition on the beach (even right before the lodge). Also the communication (after reservation) was all but perfect: I would have appreciated...

Thanks for the feedback, Michael. The plastic on the island can be very frustrating. Unfortunately this happens everywhere in Bocas. We strive to keep our resort perfectly clean, but we cannot control when tourists litter on the beach off of our property. We do lead weekly beach cleanups, though, in exchange for a free beer! As for the complaints about...

Can't praise this place highly enough! Perfect location right on Red Frog Beach with beautiful glamping in the jungle. Great food, reasonably priced and, above all, superb staff who care deeply about preserving the environmental balance of the island. Twice-daily yoga also available. Truly magical

Palmar Beach Lodge is the best spot to visit in Bocas Del Toro. Red Frog Beach is beautiful with great surf waves and exploration trails leading off to other beaches. Experience an abundance of animals, plants and waterfalls. Found myself in a forest of rainbow eucalyptus! Palmar lodge has beautiful gardens and lodgings. The walk from the water taxi to...

We came here twice to eat and hang out while staying at Red Frog next door. The vibe is warm and young -- most everyone here is under 35 (unlike us). The bar/restaurant area is relaxed and breezy with a gorgeous view of the water. The food is very good and not expensive, the drinks the same. Yes, the service...
