Although I have never stayed in the hotel the restaurant is one of my favorite in Bocas town. The fresh fish with curry sauce, is really good. AND you have to try the wings, the best on the island! Then there are mojitoes. Roberto makes the best mojitoes anywhere, they even rival those in Cuba. This is a great little... More

We walked around Bocas checking out the various budget accommodation and settled on Hotel Vista Mar after looking at so many other places! It was a great choice and an excellent price (we declined the breakfast and in turn got a decent discount on the room rate). The room was very clean, the A/C and wifi worked great, and the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in July. The people were very polite, but a bit slow serving breakfast on time. The room was appointed, but pretty average. The shower provided lots of hot water, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well. There was a lack of plugs in the room, however. The upstairs patio is... More

A short walk from the ferry drop off, no more than a 15 minute walk to anywhere in town. The hotel is clean. We asked for no services just fresh towels but it appeared they did daily cleaning, The AC worked very well. The suicide shower was hot. Breakfast was about 2 cups of fruit, papaya, pineapple and either watermelon... More

We stayed for two weeks at Vista Mar in April 2015. The staff were great!! We do not speak much Spanish and they didn't speak much English but they were always so nice and tried really hard to help us with whatever we needed. I especially loved how the housekeeping staff clean our room daily and were so good about... More

Great hotel by the water, nothing fancy but it's not on the main strip so it's nice and quiet at night. Still close, about a five minute walk, to the main strip. Check out the two hammocks on the second floor back balcony and Rum Runners around the corner for breakfast.
