This was our first stop on our 12 day trip around Sri Lanka - took a few hrs to get to the hotel from the airport, but chaffeur stopped so we could eat and have a drink before travelling on. Hotel was lovely set right in front of Sigiriya rock - the staff were wonderful and very accommodating the hotel...

The ideal place to stay when visiting Sigiriya. Close to the rock so that you can make an early start - amazing view of it from the pool! Nice rooms, good buffet for breakfast and dinner, friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend it.

Only spent one night in the hotel whilst travelling in sri Lanka. Beautiful view of Lion Mountain. The hotel looks a bit old and not so smart, but great for a short stay. However, what it lacked in luxury accommodation, it made up for with superb food. The restaurant has an amazing ambiance and they had some local musicians playing...

Not a lot of bad things to say about this hotel. Staff, food, ambiance, bar and wifi, all is great. Just one thing, doors do not shut properly and it is very likely to find a creepy crawler on your pillow.

I stayed with my wife and son for one night. The spread was good and rooms although old were well equipped and maintained. Had a homely feel about it. The dinner and breakfast spread was good. Crab dish was not good given for dinner as the crab was tiny and overcooked and therefore minus the meat. The pork was sweet...

After a six hour drive from Colombo, the last thing we needed at 10pm was the front desk manager demanding more money from us as he accused us of not paying the correct amount for a triple room. He also declared that we would not be given a room with three beds because that is not what we had booked....

There were not that many good hotels close to Sigiriya so this is perhaps why the hotel was a bit overpriced. The hotel had a good buffet restaurant (we don't normally like buffets) and a friendly staff. The hotel was located very conveniently to the Sigiriya rock, other archeological sights and elephant safaris, but there were not much else in...

We had stayed here 11 years ago and rebooked hoping it hadn't changed. We weren't disappointed. Sigiriya itself is magnificent and stunning, but the staff and hotel surroundings made the stay even more special. The hotel doesn't try and show off. This is a nature getaway and the hotel sits comfortably in its natural environment, whilst offering everything you need...
