Get the train - second class is good - from Colombo Fort to Rambukkana Railway station. Pinnawala Homestay can arrange for a driver to collect you from the station and take you to see the elephants. We saw them about 3pm... More
Get the train - second class is good - from Colombo Fort to Rambukkana Railway station. Pinnawala Homestay can arrange for a driver to collect you from the station and take you to see the elephants. We saw them about 3pm - they go to the river twice a day and troop through a village from the orphanage to the river.
Google malindaprasad for train schedule. It shows the trip is 84km and takes less than 2 hours. I used the above site all the time to catch trains around SL. Do try it....
