Like a backpacker hotel, rooms basic, clean and good food although no desert offered, no room service but good views over Kandy from balcony and good wifi. Quite a distance from the centre but plenty to do, the Botanic gardens were excellent.

The hotel is atop a hill, with lush green scenery underneath it. The views from the terrace are especially amazing - with the Kandy lake also visible from there. The staff is courteous and helpful. Breakfast didn't have variety but was tasty - bread, butter, omelette juice and Sri Lankan tea! There are two dogs and a cat in the...

Love this hotel! It's up a hill from Kandy city and the view is just stunning. The room was clean and nicely furnished and the staff are sweet, caring and helpful. They have 2 lovely cats and dogs and a nice restaurant with fantastic food.

The gentleman who staffed the place was super helpful, the food was really good. The view fantastic and with the two large dogs and two small cats running around the patio the place had a very familiar and homely feel. They also arranged a trip with a driver for us to the Pinnawahla Elephant Orphanage. Good driver and arrangement but...

Situated high above Kandy, so great view. Rooms were clean and fresh. Food was traditional Sri Lankan Curry for dinner, choice of fish or chicken. Portions were good. Felt as if you were in someone's home. They had 2 dogs and cats, so need to be a pet lover! Had to carry own bags to rooms and out again.

We visited Dambulla, Sigirya, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Spice Garden, Tea Factory, Sri Pada (Adam's Peak), Royal Botanical Gardens. The Kandy city center is easily reachable by tuk-tuk or 20 minutes on foot, where you can visit The...

Thank you Steven for your wonderful and warm help with arranging a taxi for us (even while we didn't stay here since it was fully booked). An hotel owner who really sits down with you, thinks with you and helps realize your plans. And one of the best curries we've had in Sri Lanka for dinner while we're planning. Thanks...

We stayed two nights and three days here, visiting the temple of the tooth, botanical gardens, and damnulla caves. The view from our room was stunning, the water very hot (and solar heated might I add!!!), and the in house restaurant was the best traditional Sri Lankan fare we have had the entire two weeks in Sri Lanka. Not to...
