I fell in love with this special place. The villa itself is beautiful, tastefully furnished, nestled into the hills. The view is stunning. You eat your breakfast looking out over the forest and river below. We watched a monkey one morning swing past, and a wild boar in the grasses one evening. The rooms are pretty, spacious and clean, with... More

Superb views greet you as soon as you step through the gates of this beautiful hotel situated on one of the hills looking down upon the river that winds around Kandy. The owner is welcoming and the staff attentive. If you want to learn how they prepare the tradtional sri lankan dishes they welcome you into their kitchen. Short 2km... More

Volker and his staff run an amazing property... They all have a real passion for making your stay special. The rooms are magnificent, the food superb (you can even talk with the chef) and you have views over a river valley that are stunning - 5 star all round. Would recommend to anyone.

I arrived to an upgraded room with a balcony that gave me spectacular views. The villa itself is like an upmarket house, beautifully designed with the views of the hills and valleys optimised everywhere. The staff are wonderful, Volke (the owner) has an amazing team with all of the staff on hand to make your stay extra special. The food... More

Stayed here for the last 3 nights of our trip and could not have hoped for a better end to our Sri Lanka visit. The owner was there to welcome us on arrival and had even been kind enough to upgrade our room so we ended up having a river view and private balcony - just perfect! The staff at... More

The view from the hotel is the first thing that strikes you. High over the river and with views far into the distance. The second thing is the amicable and impeccable service provided by the staff. The third is the top quality food. Delicious western and local food available to order. The fourth and final highlight is the rooms. Beautifully... More

We had a wonderful two days here. It is perched above Kandy with lovely views of the river. We were in the Family Suite which is located in the main building and is very spacious in the room, the bathroom and the balcony with good quality fittings throughout. The room is kept cool by a large ceiling fan and air... More

Having visited Kandy a few years back, it was clearly apparent that much of the charm of the city was in the surrounding hills and on a return visit we were determined to seek out a hillside location. We wanted to take in the last of the Perahera and were pleased when we were able to get a reservation at... More
