This Villa has nice clean rooms, very friendly staff, free coffee or tea anytime and breakfast is included in the price. So far best value for money in Sri Lanka. For breakfast they served eggs, sausages, bread, butter, jam accompanied by some fruit and tea or coffee. You get what you pay for. Don't go to this hotel if you...

I'm surprised by some of the glowing reviews I see for FoRest Villa. It's a newish hotel, and the manager and staff mean well, but they are not (in my experience) very competent, which is reflected in very hit-and-miss, slightly in your face and often pretty poor service. Quite possibly everything the positive reviewers say is true for them, but....no...

We had one of the best time of our lives with the Forest Villa staff. Very caring and thoughtful people who even invited us at their Xmas barbecue. Hard to believe you could be disappointed. Huge thanks to them for this wonderful time on our honeymoon!

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Ranjan went the extra mile to prepare the breakfast we needed. The cleanliness is exceptional. We felt very welcome. The only downside was a bit of noise downstairs when people were talking as the hall has an echo. I think this could be remedied if they have some carpets on the floor. Will...

This place was a great surprise! The rooms are big and clean the the bathrooms are very nice and modern. The staff is also very talkative and willing to help. The chef who makes the breakfast does a great job cooking. We were very happy to find a place like this, a true good experience.

City was full due to Esala and prices higher everywhere But we found Forest villa very different from what was advertised in internet. The Place was very dirty, room and toilet. Nice location, out of the crowded city center But our room was very noisy as there was always somebody talking loudly downstairs. I wouldn't Book it again

We booked the whole place in November for family and friends attending a wedding in Kandy. The manager Ranjith was very friendly and did his best to make our stay a memorable one. The chef and care taker Danushka were amazing . Always a smile . You could get a Auto Rickshaw easy from here. When you don't find it....

Rajith, the hotel manager is a cool dude. Always smiling and very helpful. Nimesh, the cook does a top job in the kitchen. The rooms were clean and ours was pretty big. It's a little bit out of the way, perched up on the top of the hill but it is super peaceful up there. We fell asleep each night...

Sewer gas coming up through the drain, 1 sheet on the bed (ask for and got a 2nd), ridiculous large furniture that you did not want to touch, and mothballs in the armoire that were foul. Even at $60 this was a horrible place.
