We've been to Jungle Tide a few times. It is lovely on the outskirts of Kandy. The house is beautiful and well worth a visit. The food that can be prepared for you is delicious and it is all good value. A beautiful home away from home.

We spent a week here recently and had a truly memorable time. Set in the hills above Kandy the views from the veranda outside our room were spectacular. Wild life of a friendly kind abound: take binoculars for the best views of exotic birds. The hospitality and support from Jerry and Sally - prior to and during our stay -...

Thanks so much for your lovely review - it makes us so happy when people love it here and it is a real pleasure to share it with such lovely guests. Thanks too for all the interest you showed in our ongoing garden projects - Jungle Tide's garden is always a work in progress, which is part of what makes...

We really enjoyed our stay at Jungle Tide, Sally and Jerry were wonderfully hospitable and our room (Purple coot) was spacious and airy. Sally & Jerry were a wealth of knowledge, they helped us plan trips and organised transport for us - so we felt well looked after and it was reassuring, having not been to Sri Lanka before. They...

We had a fantastic stay at JungleTide. Jerry and Sally made us and our kids feel like at home, the views from the property are beautiful and the climate 1000 m above sea level suited us very well. Food is great and varies between western and Sri Lankan style dishes. We stayed at a separate chalet/house which was very good...

Jungle tide is a wonderful place to stop. High above Kandy wit lovely views of the Knuckles range. Jerry and Sally are welcoming, hospitable and generous hosts. Rani's cooking was a delight. Wonderful curries. Rooms are clean and comfortable and spacious. The pool was a welcome break in the heat. Lovely gentle walks around the area are easy and pleasant...

We had such a fabulous stay with Sally and Jerry in this stunning location - the warmth of reception, the quality of food, accommodation and amenities was just the ticket for a relaxing, enjoyable and utterly rewarding visit to Sri Lanka. We will definitely be returning - thank you! (PS - The swimming Pool is amazing!)

We began our Sri Lankan travels here. Jungle Tide is perched on a hill-side at the end of a small road, half an hour up and out of Kandy. The views are breathtaking and the quiet and calm is an oasis of tranquility. Eagles, squirrels, monkeys, porcupines, mongoose and wild pigs enjoy it ! The Bungalow offers excellent, comfortable rooms,...

Thanks so much for the review and particularly glad you enjoyed the food so much! In most Sri Lankan restaurants they spell 'Cordon Bleu' as 'Gordon Blue' anyway! Sally and Jerry

It was my first time to celebrate my birthday alone, somewhere away from my family and friends. But the Jungle Tide hosts (Jerry and Sally) made it extra special with a surprised cake during dinner. They are the sweetest and most accommodating hosts ever. That makes their place so special, aside from the amazing scenery around it. I will definitely...

Top quality, additional to my 1st trip is they now have a wonderful swimming pool and resident hosts Sally and Jerry (most of the time, check for specifics if you want western food occasionally, and their wonderful company of course!). It all makes this a unique 'homestay' experience. The rooms are extremely well furnished and very clean, you have plenty...

What a great review! So glad you liked the things on offer at Jungle Tide even more than on your first visit. We will try to continue the improvement before you come again! The road may even be finished by then, though as you say April 2017 looks a bit optimistic at the moment. It's progressing but slowly. All the...

Staying at Jungle Tide is like staying with relatives that you really like. It’s an English Homestay in Sri Lanka and we loved it here. It’s quite a bit of the beaten track, but that’s what we liked and came here for. We stayed in the big house and had one of the rooms with garden view. We loved the...
