Whole of our family has had two weeks of hotel quarantine at Tourmaline Kandy in Late Feb 2021 and the stay was pleasant and nice. Located in a high altitude in Kandy with a panoramic view of the hill country at the balcony hotel rooms were very spacious with all the amenities. Very friendly staff and superb service. Will definitely come again...... Kap A
Stayed here two nights during a trip. One of the nights fell on my birthday and the hotel were very kind in decorating my bed with birthday wishes (see photo) and presenting me with a cake which was very kind of them. The rooms were good with great views. The food (as in all the hotels we stayed in) wasn’t the best but ok
Friendly efficient staff. They noticed that it was my birthday and produced a birthday cake after the meal. The food was very good with an interesting range of Sri Lankan food on the buffet although the Vadi and chutneys were hard to spot because they were in a corner and not labelled. The room was due for refurbishment but could have been improved greatly by simple soft furnishings or a picture on the wall.
This is our second time visiting this hotel. The place is situated in a lovely position and if you go to the sister hotel a few minutes walk, you will get a brilliant view of Kandy. All the staff at Tourmaline hotel are so friendly and it is like a home from home. You will not be disappointed here. The rooms are very clean with all toiletries. The food is to so delicious and when you go to the restaurant, the chef will quite often come out and speak to the guest to make sure you are happy. The restaurant staff are all awesome too. Thus trip was a birthday presen from my husband and we chose this hotel again. Thank you Rashika Rathbayaka (assistant manager) and Jagath Amarakeon (night duty manager) for making our stay so memorable once again. Keep up the great work that you guys do best. With sincere gratitude and thanks to all staff at this hotel.…
We visited this hotel as part of a Tui tour. The hotel is situated at the edge of Kandy at the top of a steep hill which gives it the most amazing views. The hotel room was spacious, the bathroom a bit quirky with windows with blinds. There was refillable little jars for shampoo etc which was a good idea. The welcome to the hotel is lovely with towels to freshen up and a cool drink. The restaurant didn’t have the same choice of food as others we stayed at on our tour but it was all well cooked and presented with enough choice to suit most people.
