I loved this hotel. It was very cheap. It has amazing views of the town and the large Buddha. Rooms were a bit dated and the bed was too hard. But it was ok for the price. Restaurant had terrific buffets and excellent service. There is a bar enclosed in glass on the edge of the property with views all...

Quiet and peaceful hotel, just 10 min drive to the Dambulla town and the Golden Cave temple. Rooms are quite large and bathroom quite spacious. The walk to the reception and the rooms could be quite difficult for people with walking disabilities. All Deluxe rooms have the same view of vegetations also lots of Mango trees. You could select a room...

We stayed here for two nights while exploring Dambulla. Rooms are very large and the hotel facilities are very good. The gardens are really nice and as you are quite far from the main road it is very peaceful. Food in the hotel is good, especially the breakfast. Each night they did a buffet or you could order a la...

If you need to stay in Dambulla, do stay here. Hotel grounds are spectacular. Very lush and calming. Rooms are decent, and offer most creature comforts (heated shower, comfy bed etc etc.) however no in room wifi is a small problem. Food is not an issue(we are vegetarians) and staff were very attentive. Wifi aside, the large grounds and great...

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this hotel but it was a great experience. Small hotel set amid a beautiful mango plantation. Very peaceful and serene surroundings. Food was great too and staffs were very helpful I would strongly recommend this place to explore dambulla

The staff, from those we encountered at reception to those who delivered our bags to the rooms, to those who attended to us in the dining hall and those who kept greeting us with such warmth as we walked past them, we say thank you. They were all so delightfully humble, kind with nothing appearing to be too much trouble...

Probably once a premier resort, now in disrepair and poorly managed. Ceiling fan doesn't work, in room jacuzzi essentially nonfunctional, toilet loose on floor, mirror and floor tiles discolored .Too bad because clearly the resort must have been excellent when first built

Thilanka Dambulle is very impressive as you enter its gates. A long drive thru a dazzling mango orchard with hundreds of trees (laden with fruit at the time). Quite spectacular! The reception was an open concept, so was the swimming pool. very different from the usual. Hmm, the rooms kinda need a lot of work. Old-fashioned is always a welcome...

I stayed as part of a tour around Sri Lanka. The setting, the reception area and the room were absolutely stunning. I was in a first floor room and I was stunned by how beautiful it was. Comfy bed and the bathroom area was very unique. Loved it. Staff were helpful. Beautiful pool area. The restaurant was my only downside,...

After quite a long trip from Negombo we arrived at the Thilanka Hotel. Surprise! With having a paid reservation there was no room available. We encouraged the hotel to look for an alternative close to this hotel. Eventually, with a big sigh, they assisted us. We felt they were very hostile and not taking any responsibility for the situation. In...
