A lovely base to see the area and return to after your trips. It is a collection of very comfortable houses dotted through the gardens by the side of the man made lake, Plenty of space to walk around the grounds, but dark coming back from the restaurant and I would recommend a torch or phone light. Food was delicious,...

The hotel service is amazing. The location of the hotel near the lake was exceptional. The bungalows were cozy, large and comfortable. We were able to have an early check in and complementary breakfast. The hotel staff is friendly. The pool is clean and large and we enjoyed the drinks there. However the food is fine and nice but good...

As foreigners with a residence visa we went a second time to this hotel and were again very pleased. The gardens are beautiful and vast and they are maintained extremely well. The view on the lake is spectacular. The bungalows are nice. The hotel has a big swimming pool. But avoid sundays when the often noisy Sri Lankans come and...

For the last 20 years, I have been trying to stay at least once a year at this hotel. Green environment, authentic background, Picturesque lake area, generous staff will bring romantic, lovely, calm and peaceful mind at all. Evening flute music, eastern music when plays near the pool, stimuli my aesthetic feeling.

We stayed at Amaya Lakes for two nights on a tour of Sri Lanka. This hotel was amazing, as soon as we arrived at around 10pm, we were escorted to our rooms, through a jungle-like resort to drop our bags off and get ready for dinner. The buffet style restaurant was picture perfect and had amazing views of the lake....

Stayed here 13th to 15th April during an extended tour of Sri Lanka. Arrived to the welcoming "drum roll" and were blown away by the surroundings. Room was excellent, staff brilliant, they couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. Food was delicious too. April 14th is celebrated as the Sinhalese New Year and in the evening the entire grounds,...

The hotel and grounds are stunning, the pictures don't do it justice. The lake cabin we stayed in was fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful. A bit quiet at night around the area but lovely for a relaxing few days. Beach yoga was a bit of a let down.

Stayed for two nights during a tour of Sri Lanka. The rooms are spread across expansive grounds as small chalets. Ours had a small living area, bathroom and bedroom area. The first room we were given had lots of tiny insects crawling around which had unfortunately also got onto the bed. Reception were great and quickly moved us to another...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. GROUNDS: The front desk, restaurant, and pool are right at the center at the resort. The pool is large and refreshing with a swim-up bar in the middle. I was surprised by how large the resort was, as we had to take a golf cart to get to our room. I...
