The room we got was nice and clean, except for some cobwebs in the bathroom. Maybe a bit outdated, but still charming. The bed was nice too, we had a great sleep, very quiet place. WiFi was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I must mention about value for money, great hotel with minimum possible charge. Staffs were too good. All of them were too gentle, well behaved, well mannered and helpful. Their breakfast was extraordinary, they serve a platter with 9 different types of fruits, Egg bread and butter which was very tasty, fresh and healthy. Location was also good, exactly 350m awy from main road and may be 500m away from superstores, restaurants and other necessary things. If u want to come out at night u need to walk 1st 350m in less light as there was not enough light in access road. The rooms and surrounding area was also very clean and beautiful. I like everything but if i need to say something for some particular guests to aware about that u need to climb stairs for 1st floor rooms other than u can request for ground floor rooms. Within 20.30 the restaurant and most of the staffs leave the place except one or two staffs. So if u need anything u need to ask earlier than 20.30. WiFi connection can be improved and water pressure for shower can also be improved. If anyone wants to enjoy luxury like TV, Air Conditioning, Swimming Pool, Lift. It's not a place for those.

We stayed three nights at the New Peacock Resort and felt at home and very well cared for the whole time. Since we had not booked in advance but asked for a room the day we arrived, we got a beautiful double room for only 3300 Rs including a fantastic breakfast with a giant fruit platter. The staff were all very friendly and the service was great. They arranged us a tuk tuk driver for a day trip to Polonnaruwa and Pidurangala Rock for only 6000 Rs (he also drove us through the ancient Polonnaruwa city from one site to another, showed us interesting buildings and wild animals on our way and bought us wood apples so we could try them). They also found us another couple to share a jeep to Kaudulla national park for the elephant safari, so we could split costs for the jeep. The room was very well equipped (AC, fan, mosquito net), spacious and clean with a comfy bed and sitting facilites on the in- and outside. Additionally the hotel is perfectly situated at the end of a road close to the main road, which makes it very calm and peaceful but also close to the city center. New Peacock Resort is great value, we highly recommend staying here.

We have enjoyed our stay in this place which was a really good value for money. The hotel manager is a nice person to chat with, educated, with good manners. The rest of the hotel stuff is also helpful and smiling. They also provide lunch & dinner, not many options but the food is really good, made and served with love, not expensive. There was also a small fridge in the room and a TV set. Good internet connection. A small area outside the rooms to sit and relax.

The Hotel was Really Nice and clean. 300m Walk from the busy street in Dambulla, therefore very calm. The service was extremely Nice, especially Bandara, a guy, who organises Trips and drives you everywhere with his Tuktuk. Breakfast was also very good. We werd really impressed By the huge fruit plate. Definitely would recommend to stay there!
