Lockated in old hunting castle of Habzburg family, restourant smells with history but also smells on bad food and service. Dishes are to small and not to tasty. Service is slow, althoug they are trying to improve. The only good thing is the ambient. Place nice to be visited but only once.

2011 I was only one day, on a trip. The castle was full of guests, we walked to the park, a little tour of the castle. What we saw was satisfactory. But now a little bit of history: A nobleman, Lazar Agošton, opened a new feudal castle on the left bank of the River Begej in Ečka in 1820.On the third... More

Not my first visit, but the first time I stayed the night. The rooms are very spacious, clean, with all required commodities. Food is good, try the hunting specialties. Breakfast could be improved. The staff was friendly and helpful. Free wifi everywhere, but in the room it didn't work. They have a nice park to walk through, but it is... More

The group of students were not welcomed today at the Kastel. The staff was totally unprofessional not having a guide although we had it booked. Also, they strictly told us not use the restrooms. The unpleasant service made me not want to come back ever again.

End of April midweek so very quiet time for an overnight stay on a short private tour of the Banat area that my husband's grandmother was from. Nice front desk greeting and good English. Everything in good condition and nice furnishings in public rooms. We sat in the garden for coffee then had dinner in the dining room. Our son... More

This was a very pleasant surprise - in the middle of a code red snowstorm driving into a fairytale large hunting lodge. A very pleasant staff, very clean rooms and bathrooms, good quality WiFi (I was even given, at request, an extra router for better signal). A cook that knows his stuff and good breakfast. My guess is that between... More

Very pleasant gardens, good food, and quiet. Perfectly acceptable though not luxurious accommodation. My room had no aircon so might get very warm in high summer, however the window could be opened wide and was well screened against flying insects.

Room is big and confortable with king size bed. There is small TV in the room, in my opinion too small for room of that size. Bathroom is small with shower. It is very good equiped with everithing you need (shampoo, shower gel, soap, conditioner...) Wather in hotel is yellow and smelly. I couldn't drink it. Also I am not... More

I had been three times in this hotel for business purposes. My impression was the same each and every time: this is definitively not the hotel I would opt for. Except beautiful hotel park and interesting history and legends about the building, this hotel does not offer much, and what it does offer is not at the appropriate level. Hotel... More

My husband is from Ecka and we got married in Kastel in 2010 - and it was a fantastic day. Our guests came from around the globe and Kastel gave us e best possible service both in organising the day and helping all of us enjoy when it came. We go back regularly and it is well worth the visit... More
