The Majoro is isolated from Nasca proper and that may not be all bad, but being in or near town would give you more options for meals and drinks. As it was, we had only the hotel restaurant available to us during our two night stay. And the Majoro has a reputation with the bus tour trade, so you had...

My wife and I, together with thirty friends and ten 4 x 4 cars of different types, spent four unforgettable days exploring the Nazca area in Peru, about 450 kms south of Lima. One full day travelling through the Valle San Fernando Reserve, visiting the ceremonial center Ciudadela de Cahuachi ruins, enjoying the abundance of sea fossils and shells on...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during October with family and friends. When we first arrived it all looked good - really nice grounds and a nice big swimming pool. We had the pool to ourselves the first day as the place wasn't busy. Things went downhill from there. They say they have wifi which u have to...

I've recently return to my home in Switzerland. I stayed in several hotels in my tourism route through Peru, but I was truly amazed with this hotel, every single animal had a name. The Royal Family of Peacocks (as in spanish they are Pavos Reales) Alberto, Isabella, Felipe, Juana, etc etc etc, the Alpaca named Dina Paucar, even the rooster...

This is a nice hotel, 3 or 4 kms out of town, down, as others have said a long dirt road (but hey this is Peru, not Manhattan). It has spacious grounds and a big pool. They have their own aircraft if you want to use them for the Nasca lines flight - we did We only stayed one night,...

We were due to stay at Majoro Hotel. Unfortunately heavy rains resulted in the road from Cuzco to Nazca being closed so we could not make our booking. As we had onward connections to make in Lima, we had to skip Nazca which means unluckily we did not get to stay at the Hotel. All I wanted to say was...

This hotel was listed as a 4 star in our tour listing, and must be an error as the room we got could maybe have been a 2 star, judging by all the 3 star accommodations we had. It was the only time we picked from the 4 star column in our 19 days in Peru and was without a...

What 3 things do I remember most about Hotel Majoro? Bugs, peacocks, and no privacy. My friend and I stayed here as part of our GAP Adventures tour. It's a beautiful outdoor hotel, but the rooms definitely need improvement. I will say that the bathroom was the most spacious and recently renovated of most of the hotels we stayed at...

We had a marvellous stay at Hotel Majoro. The only disappointment was that we arrived late and were leaving late the following day. .... trying to negotiate using the pool turned into something of a long process. Service was OK. Gardens, living and dining rooms were great. It was quite quiet when we were here but even when full I...

The Hotel Majoro is a converted monastery and no two rooms are the same. We found our room to be spacious and clean but rather drab and uninspiring but other rooms may well have a different perspective. The service left much to be desired and we were almost made to feel a nuisance on the few occasions we had to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Hacienda Majoro, a single floor hotel, was built in the 19th Century as an Augustine convent. In the early 20s it became a Pima cotton hacienda and its land was expropiated in 1968 with the Agrarian Reform. The previous owners converted the old hacienda building into a hotel in 1980. The present owner bought it in 2004 including 60 acres of land where tara trees (caesalpinea spinoza), cactus and grapes are grown.
