We stayed in Aguas Calientes on our travels through Peru. After much research we discovered Rupa Wasi Lodge. From the main court yard, you walk north a few blocks turn right and head uphill. The lodge is built into the side of the hill side which places you above the town for some nice views of the area. The lodge...

Stayed one night in room #4, and really enjoyed our stay. The room had a queen bed and a twin bed, both very comfortable, and with plenty of pillows -- something that had been a problem in some of our other accommodations. The hot water was extremely hot and plentiful, and the bathtub was a nice touch. Views down the...

We read reviews and found out room #5 was the best room with the amazing views of the mountain. Beds are fantastic. Shower was average. View and rooms are amazing. Staff are great. Restaurant advertised happy hour but when we went it was closed, then we made a booking but less than half of the menu was unavailable so we...

We stayed one night in Room #5. It was the highest room, but worth the extra climb! It was a two-story room with amazing views of Aguas Calientes and the mountains. The only downside is that the first level did not have any curtains!! It was not very private - I could hear and see people nearby walking and talking....

The Tree House restaurant that is part of the Rupawasi is the best restaurant in Aguas Caliente. The service at the hotel is wonderful, very attentive and warm. The rooms are basic, but the bedding is very nice. It feels a little like camping with fabulous food. There are quite a few stairs, but compared to Machu Picchu, it's not...

I was looking forward to this hotel on our trip to Machu Picchu. The website looks amazing however the room did not live up to it. There were a few items missing from the room such as a safe, phone, tv, and hair dryer. I am one for roughing it however if I am paying such a steep price as...

We had to walk up numerous steps to get to the hotel and although it was all built of wood and charming, the rooms were just average. We got one with two single beds even though we are a couple. Staff was helpful with contacting the tour operator when we arrived sick and they all helped to arrange for us...

Dear Guest Thanks for staying with us, regarding your stay, we are like you say up , but like everything in Aguas calientes is Up or down. Also important to mention visitors, say that Machupicchu is more expensive than Cusco, this is normal as everything has to come by train and also involves more logisitics, many people dont realize we...

Although it was 86 steps straight up to our room it was well worth. The hike up was good training for Machupicchu for sure. Built of all natural wood, well built as well up against the mountain: super clean, excellent service and excellent although expensive dinners. The breakfast were the same old that we had at most all hotels in...

My husband and I stayed in room 5, the highest room with a panoramic view at Rupa Wasi. It was kind of cool, like a guest/tree house. The downstairs held an extra single bed and the bathroom, while up the stairs (almost a ladder) was a room just big enough for the double bed. The large windows slide open making...
