I somehow find this small town Aquas Calientes very South-East-Asia. This hotel, to me, is also like those I found in countries of South East Asia eg Thailand in style and ambience. I travelled alone and was given to the biggest suite (I believe) on the highest floor. No lift and no lighting at staircase. I checked out early at...

Hi MissHK2009, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the travel community and for your feedback regarding your stay! Aguas Calientes is a very small and restricted town. Despite some hotels break the local rules, buildings with complex facilities (like lifts) are not allowed to be constructed. In our believes it is because the local government...

We stayed at La Cabana while spending two days visiting Machu Picchu. Our reservation was made by our travel agent, Cusco Peru Viajes, and we are very happy that they chose this hotel. The double room was huge, with a private balcony. When we got there the beds were decorated with colorful seed pods in the shape of hearts with...

We stayed in a big room on the third floor the night before climbing to Machu Picchu. The room was lovely. The hotel provided box lunches that we took with us to Machu Picchu. Nice touch. Everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended for anyone headed to Machu Pichhu.

We stayed here during our trip to Machu Pichu. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The room was quiet, and clean and the bed was great. We'd stay here again. It is located up a hill from the bus and train stations.

I've stayed at the top floor (2nd) room (I think it's 50 or 51). It's somehow very big considering that there is even a living room. The bed was ok, the room was clean, the TV set is complete, Wi-Fi signal was strong and internet speed is satisfactory. The bathroom is small considering the size of the room. As we...

The people from the hotel is so nice, they explane everithing that you need to know to have a good exporience in Machu Picchu visit. We have two bags and the time was short returning from Machu Picchu. They delivery the bags for us direct in the train station at no extra cost (just a good and voluntary tip).

We had a not-so-good experience in Cusco in our initial hotel, which turned out to be more of a youth hostel not fit for family travel with a 4 year-old, so we were a bit scared to see the hotel we reserved online. After a fairly long walk through Aguas Calientes (almost a hike, really since it was one of...

Dear Bernardo B, Thank you for writing a review and for your wonderful compliments to our always-helpful staff. Aguas Calientes is a very small town, despite our location being a little far from the train station, we consider it privileged. WE paid $115 for this hotel. That may not sound like a lot but by Peru standards it is expensive. We had no hot water (the city's name means "hot water" by the way...), the shower did not drain and the water was brown. There were bugs (flies mostly), which I am not surprised about considering it is in the...

A bit of a hike from the train station (there are no cars in the town), but worth it. Very quiet, excellent service. We had a spacious, comfortable room away from the street, which was great because we were there right before the elections & there were many parades and demonstrations all over Peru when we were there.
