It was exactly what we needed: a hot shower and a warm bed, an early breakfast with eggs, and a helpful host, all at the right price. Make sure you know how to get there from where you'll be arriving -- it's pretty close to the train station where the trains arrive from Cusco, but far if you're coming from... More

Given that all hotels in Aguascalientes are very expensive, these at least was handy, close to the train station and within budget. Clean enough with a nice breakfast starting at 4:00 AM, just right if you plant to catch the first bus up to Machu Picchu.

Finding a good value in Aguas Calientes can be tough, but this is at least one place that is a good value. The location is close to the Train Station but we never heard any noise from there. Being away from the main tourist area that is across the river, also meant that it was quieter than being right where... More

Free wifi, breakfast 4.30-6.30 (very useful than the breakfast starts early cause to go to machu picchu you'll leave early, hot water, wifi. Cons: no credit card, staff "shy / no so useful to give directions, recommend places, etc". No kitchen (even though it was described in different webs).

We stayed here the night before we went to Machu Picchu. Our three single bed room was HUGE and there was great hot water and wifi. Also, they served us breakfast before we left for our hike up to MP. We thought it would be a piece of bread and butter, but it was bread, coffee, tea, juice, eggs made... More

We booked this hotel through bookings.com, or one of those sites, mainly because it was one of the cheaper options. We just needed a place to stay before going to MP. It worked out just fine for us. Location - it wasn't right next to the buses but pretty close - any closer and it would have been too loud.... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night after doing Machu Picchu. It's a really lovely little hostel, clean rooms (towels smell amazing), hot, hot, hot water and a really decent breakfast in the morning. The only reason isn't a '5' is because it's a bit loud at night, which if you are getting up at 4am to do... More

... at least this is what I remember about this hostel. I had a dark room without window to the outside. Because the room didn't have a window there was no ventilation and the room, due to the climate, was dump. The bathroom was really small, and clean is something else. A construction site nearby, the family quarrels of the... More

This hostal is clean and comfortable for one night stay. They had good beds and later when we finally had hot water it was really hot. WiFi was good when it worked... We were promised to get breakfast 4:30 a.m. but they were little late with that. Very good anyways to be able to get anything at that time and... More

We booked the Hotel Sol de Oro while visiting Machu Picchu. We had been a bit leary of staying in Aquas Caliente based on reviews in travel books and online, but we found it to be a very lively and affordable place. The Hotel Sol de Oro was quite comfortable. We had two rooms and both had very comfortable beds... More
