If you are staying only for one night after having completed the Inka trail, this is probably fine. It's not really clean and old, it'd be so much better with a minimum effort. The bathrooms have small windows on the corridor, making sure everybody is part of your bathroom, basically. As said, if you come from 4 days of not...

Central location with helpful staff Good location 300 meters from the railway station, just 50 meters from the bus stop to Machu Picchu with quiet rooms, cleanly. Good food in the restaurant very helpful staff. Arranged breakfast 4:00 AM when we have to stand in line for the first buses up to Machu Picchu departs 05:30. A must if you...

Its come with SAS package which I expected it to be a little bit more organized... but it was not so. I arrived at the train station and the hostel forgot to pick me up!! Luckily I have the map so I walked to the hostel myself :( Lunch was okay...actually the taste was not that bad. Breakfast serve at...

We stayed here after finishing a trip along the Inca Trail. It's got most of the things you'll need in a hostel. If you're not picky, this will be fine. My only caution is that if you get a room and it's on the second floor, make sure it's far away from the stairs leading up from the main lobby....

We stayed one night at the Viajeros Hostel as part of our SAS package. Here are the specifics. If location is everything, then this is the place. The hostel is “right there.” Please note, this is truly a hostel. There are no frills. The people who run the hostel are knowledgeable and “connected.” We had a few travel issues with...

Stayed here for 2 nights after we had to cancel our SAS trip due to illness. The stay was free, so we can't complain too much, but it wasn't great. The room (a double en suite) was very basic, but it was reasonably clean. There were windows on 2 of the walls that went into a corridor and were not...

There Were monolog points in the room, Not even for the bed side lamp, which was just put next to the bed to no use whatsoever. Food was beyond bad, no veggie option, water ridiculously overpriced. Pretty neat green wallpaper in the room, though!

Similar to many travelers, we stayed here as part of a SAS tour. It was so disappointing. The rooms were all windowless, dirty, and smelly. It was also extremely loud all the time and I barely slept. The few pros: the shower was hot, but only because we arrived early. I think others were stuck with cold water. Breakfast and...

Lastly I must add a word about Aquas Caliente. We stayed there at the Hostel VIAJEROS after our trek on the last day. I absolutely loved the small, relaxed environment of the village. No roads, no cars, just folks on the streets. We had a wonderful dinner there at a very nice resturant. Excellent meal. $15.00 U.S including drinks. The...

We stayed at Viajeros for one night with SAS Travel before our hike to Machu Picchu. Good things: location, hot water. Bad things: mould, poor wi-fi, stuffy small rooms with no windows, disorganized staff (the meals were never on time, because of which we nearly missed our Macchu Picchu tour). There are better places in Aguas Calientes.
