We stayed here after finishing the 4 day/3 night Inca Trek. I would strongly urge you to spend the night here after the trek. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were quite comfortable. Much better than taking the train/bus back to Cuzco.

Sadly Aguas Calientes is often just referred to as Machu Picchu & often just a jump off point at the base of Machu Picchu but it is a cute little town and we are pleased we decided to stay 2 days, luckily choosing this hotel. We hadn't requested to be met off the train but it was delayed meaning we...

We stayed here one night before a day at Machu Picchu. The room was clean and comfortable, although it looked out on a vacant lot strewn with garbage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was a cut above what would be typical, and served a nice buffet lunch in additional to breakfast (lunch is not included...

We stayed at the Tierra Viva for two nights while visiting Mach Picchu. We were met at the train station and amazed by the young man who placed our bags on a cart and walked us to the hotel. The front desk was very helpful in assisting me by printing by tickets and recommending what time we should depart for...

My wife and I, together with another couple, stayed here for one night. After completing a 4 day trek of the Inca Trail, it was like walking into heaven. The hotel is very modern and is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are very spacious- try to get a room on the third floor with a balcony overlooking the...

We have now almost completed our Peru visit staying mainly with Tierra Viva chains from Lima to Machu Picchu. When we planned our Peru trip, we chose Tierra Viva out of convenience as we were very busy with little time to do much research. We were pleasantly surprised with the very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are impeccably clean....

As soon as we got off the train, we were greeted with a sign by someone from the hotel to help guide us to the hotel and assist with any Machu Picchu questions. That was a fun surprise and loved the customer service! This continued at the hotel with the front desk staff...super friendly! We stayed here for 2 nights....

Spent one night here. We had the king suite. Very large room, amazing views of the mountains with the river running right beside the hotel. Our room had an extremely large balcony facing the river. It was stunning. The room also had a nice sitting area, great bathroom with a whirlpool tub for two. When we first tried the tub,...

Good service, very friendly team, great ambiance, really comfortable bed, good bathroom (I had only a shower), on the river (thundering sounds makes you sleepy), 100 meters or so from the center of the little town. Works really well for a comfortable Machu Picchu stay, close to the bus stop to this most breathtaking city in the clouds Lunch buffet...

We were most impressed with the service at this hotel. We were greeted by someone as soon as we're got off the train at Machu Picchu station where he took our luggage directly to the hotel for us. This allowed us to go directly to Machu Picchu instead of wasting time trekking the luggage up to the hotel. When we...
