They have issues with hot water. Group of 8 of us checked in all had cold showers. Staff at reception were not interested and though we were all lying. Their hot water system obviously can't handle people having showers

Our stay at Tierra Viva in Machu Picchu Pueblo was the icing on the cake. It is located within feet of just everything there is to see there or if you are an explorer, walking distance from the butterfly study camp, the botanical garden and the local museum. The Plaza, restaurants, artisan market, local market, train station, you name it!...

Wonderful facilities, very comfortable bed. Friendly service at the reception who took the initiative to make us sandwiches for breakfast knowing that we wanted to catch the first bus up to Machu Picchu and would miss the buffet breakfast. Delivered our luggage on time at the train station as well! Really enjoyed our stay :)

It was a great stay, good food and lots to see. Manchu picchu was beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable. Lots of people and lots of walking and climbing. No problems with altitude. Great food and there were lots of backpackers. The hotel is likely the best in the area. Only accessible town by train. Staff at hotel were very accommodating...

My husband and a group of about 6 of us stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our visit to Machu Picchu. We picked it because of it's overall good reviews and surprisingly reasonable price. There are so many really expensive places to stay in the area, but we wanted to stay somewhere more reasonably priced. This place hit...

We stayed here after finishing the 4 day/3 night Inca Trek. I would strongly urge you to spend the night here after the trek. The rooms were well appointed and the beds were quite comfortable. Much better than taking the train/bus back to Cuzco.

Sadly Aguas Calientes is often just referred to as Machu Picchu & often just a jump off point at the base of Machu Picchu but it is a cute little town and we are pleased we decided to stay 2 days, luckily choosing this hotel. We hadn't requested to be met off the train but it was delayed meaning we...

We stayed here one night before a day at Machu Picchu. The room was clean and comfortable, although it looked out on a vacant lot strewn with garbage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was a cut above what would be typical, and served a nice buffet lunch in additional to breakfast (lunch is not included...
