The staff was lovely, and the gardens surrounding the rooms and main lodge were truly beautiful. Felt like arriving in heaven! The rooms were actually loft apartments, with open, modern spaces and back patios. Very good place to stay---great views, facilities, service

After our journey up the road from Mount Hagen we were greeted by Cathy and a welcome drink of fruit juice. She told us a little about the lodge and we were assured that should a power cut occur they had a back up second generator, so it would only be minutes before we were reconnected. At first sight the...

It is good to read that you enjoyed your stay at Rondon Ridge. Have noted that you specifically mention the spacious rooms, the meals, the organization, the gardens, the walks, the birding possibilities and the helpful staff. You also mention the views. You describe them as "amazing" and so do I. The main lodge and the accommodation units were carefully...

The luxury at Rondon Ridge was an amazing surprise. Leaving the urban squalor of Mount Hagen and climbing up into the hills, was like going from hell up to heaven. This hotel is beautifully laid out on the mountain side, the accommodation (especially in the executive suites) is first class by western standards, the quality of the meals (breakfast, evening...

A group I was traveling with was invited up to Rondon Ridge Lodge by a dignitary for lunch and we were all duly impressed. The view and gardens were spectacular and the food was some of the best we had in country.

Rondon Ridge Lodge is about 30 minutes out of Mt Hagen along an unpaved but reasonable road that snakes its way some 2000' above the Wanghi Valley. The main lodge is a large building full of interesting local carvings with reception and the bar down one end, a sitting area in the middle and a dining area at the far...

We were staying down in Mt Hagen for the Sing Sing and took a day trip up to Rondon Ridge for some bird photography. How I wish I never knew of this lodge when I booked my trip. If you are visiting Mt Hagen this is the place to stay. High up on a ridge overlooking Mt Hagen town down...

Rondon Ridge is a beautiful place with very good service. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff, especially the manager, did everything possible to make certain we were comfortable. Do walk the trail behind the lodge, we observed birds of paradise and Thomas, the botanist, shared his knowledge of birds and plants. The restaurant is alright, but I...

The view from the restaurant is amazing and breath taking. Over looking the Mt. Hagen and the city. A perfect place to relax, retreat and drink a wine while the sun is setting. The vicinity is very nature friendly, lots of plants and flowers around. They do have their own hydroelectricity and water supply. It is a cosy modern and...

Great views of Mt Hagen below with spacious, comfortable rooms although not sure how long that'll last with the new construction. Comparatively, Rondon had consistently the best food of all 3 of the Trans Niugini Tour lodges where we stayed. The service at airport pick up, check-in/out, and especially in the restaurant was excellent. Nothing was too hard. Due to...
