The rooms are spacious, but rather primitively furnished, some need renovation, air condition and fan worked, there is no tv in the room, and there is no WiFi reception besides in the restaurant (plugging in is not possible there, you need a good battery) and the lobby. This place is rather isolated, and the prices in the restaurant are ridiculously...

This Hotel is cute looking and the bungalows are quaint. It's a long way from town so you are pretty much tied to the restaurant but the food is okay and reasonable. Our early breakfast on the last morning was unusual and I suspect they had run out of bread so recycled the rolls from the previous nights party. The...

Stayed for two nights. The rooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable. It was quite warm there and they charge for air conditioning which is really frustrating. If you pay for the hotel it should include being able to use the air conditioning. As there is no where close to buy food you eat all meals at...

The setting is pretty specatular. You will have beautiful views of the sunset. Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. This was partly due to the fact that my kids love swimming. The area around the hotel is just too rocky. I've swam in rocky areas -- but this one is just unsafe for children. We ended up walking...

We spent two nights here in a room overlooking the gardens - sitting on the veranda in the morning and watching humming birds close by was a highlight. We also enjoyed watching the locals visit the lake early in the morning to do the laundry and see the local people bring their animals down to drink. It is a very...

Nice place to stay for exploring the island of Ometepe. Try to get lakefront rooms/bungalows as these are larger and newer than those near the restaurant. Rooms are basic but quite large and with fans. Nice view from right outside your room terrace and hammacs are available near the restaurant with lake views. The restaurant offers limited choice and service...

We had a great stay here. The rooms were basic but clean. With the windows open (they had fly screens on) and with the fan on we found we didn't need the air con. There were lots of nice places to lounge about; beach, on the grass, hammock area etc. They had horses onsite and we did an amazing horse...

The Finca Playa Venecia is a beautiful location on the breathtaking Isla de Ometepe and I greatly enjoyed our time on the island; waking up to see those volcanos is a memory I won't soon forget! The meals are also very tasty and the drinks are nice and cheap (before they ran out of orange juice). This beachfront hotel is...

This place is right on the shore and my chalet style room faced on to the lake. The room itself although basic, had most of the things you need for a short stay.Being a budget place, it didn't have have TV and the a/c was an extra $15 per night extra!!! Due to the birds, it was incredibly noisy in...

Tour organised stay of 2 nights. The tour did take us off the beaten track as advertised. Being named a finca, one should not expect too much. We had a ground floor room facing the water which was nice. However, be prepared for warm/hot weather & it is $15 if you want air con (which we did not opt for)....
