The lasting memories I’m taking with me from time spent at the Nomad Palace south of Merzouga were created thanks to the generous spirits of the owner and the staff. Rather than simply trying to sell a package or an excursion, they listen to what we really wanted to do, and then tried to make it happen. They offered suggestions...

As part of our 3 day trip to the desert, we stayed one night in the standard nomad tent. As we went there in winter (end of December 2016), the temperatures were very low, hitting -10 Celsius (14 Fahrenheit) at night. It could have been a great experience to stay in a Berber tent, but the weather just made it...

Rooms : the largest rooms we had in our trip. Seems like they have just been renovated. Beds were clean and very comfortable . Room heater worked well. As with most places in Morocco no hairdryer, safe or kettle. Bathrooms were clean . Toiletries were lacking. WC and shower were two separate rooms . Hot water took a while and...

Hotel Nomad Palace is located literally at the edge of Erg Chebbi big dunes about 5 mins drive from Merzouga. When you arrive to the parking area you may notice the beautiful Berber architecture of the hotel. The main entrance is lined with lanterns and there is a fountain. They were renovating the corridor leading to the front desk when...

We stayed two days at the Hotel Nomad Palace during our visit to Merzouga. We were greeted by the gracious manager Hassan upon arrival, and he took such good care of us throughout our stay. The riad is situated on the edge of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes and beautifully appointed with Moroccan Berber details and decor. We had a...

we stayed a night here after our camel excursion. the grounds of the hotel are very very nice. tea and nuts were offered upon arrival. There are several places to sit and hangout. Restrooms in these areas are clean. tons of plants and lanterns everywhere. The pool area looks very inviting. our room/bathroom was huge. The physical hotel itself was...

My husband and I were at Hotel Nomad Place at the end of September 2016. We stayed there for one night before starting a camel excursion the next day. The hotel was fine, albeit the food and activities were overpriced. We went on a 4x4 excursion of the desert. Though the drive was pretty (a member of the hotel staff...

But really impressive is the tends service in the desert. Tends with private shower and toilet. The dinner served at the tend is OK considering that we are sleeping in the border of the desert. The camel ride is amazing. The room of the hotel is very nice and clean. Air conditioning works well. And it is necessary! The hotel...

The hotel itself is nothing great. Granted, when we were there it was undergoing a major renovation, so that marred my view. The dinner and breakfast were OK, but nothing like the food I experienced at riads in Fes and Marrakesh. Everything seemed a bit bland and overcooked. But you're not there for the hotel itself. You're probably going there...
