Even though I only stayed in this hotel one night, it'll be a long time before I forget the experience. Quite frankly, staying here is like staying with family or an old friend, you just get that type of feeling. The hotel, owned by a Scottish family who also lives there, is impeccably clean and has a commanding view of...

We booked our stay at the rif-for-anyone based on all the previous amazing reviews and this guest house did not disappoint. The views from the terrace are AMAZING and the owner Terry and his wife were very welcoming and down to earth. Our room was very comfortable and came with its own western style bathroom. Breakfast is included and Terry...

Not a traditional Riad and the owners live on the property if those things bother you. But they don't get in your way and are happy to help with anything. The owners make you very welcome from the outset and help orientate you to the town. The place is very clean and comfortable and is good value. It is up...

This was the second time i stopped at Rif-For-Anyone and i'm sure i'll be back. The center of towns only a ten minute walk if you can manage to drag yourself out of the hammocks on the rooftop terrace, The rooms are cheap and clean and breakfast is served whatever time of day you get out of bed. The owners...

My second visit in six months,so it has something special. It has the best location in town and the ex-pat owners are extremely welcoming and look after their guests really well. From march to october the weather can be very pleasant or really hot,but in the moroccan winter, as Chefchaouen is 2000 ft up in the mountains,it can be wet,...

This review is long overdue! However now I have a spare few minutes I have to say that I can't recommend Rif-for-everyone highly enough. From the minute my erstwhile travelling partner and I arrived there Terry, Suzanne and Liam made us feel very welcome. Once we had settled in Liam took us into the medina, made sure we were well...

We stayed here off season so probably did not see it as its best. The views from the roof terrace must be great in summer.Terry, Suzanne and Liam are very friendly people. It was great to be able to talk to someone in English who is living in the area. However we were disappointed with the room which was small...

Rif-for-Anyone is a very clean and well run pension, they have western w.c's and showers in all the rooms, which are clean and comfortable with high ceilings to give an airy feel. The ex-pat owners make you feel very welcome and can advise on local trips and what to watch out for in the medina. As it is right at...

I loved this place. The walk down to the medina was really pretty. The views from the terrace and gorgeous. The family was very helpful and friendly. I definitely plan on going back to Chaouen and I will be staying here.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! We don't allow children under 12 years. We are situated just a few minutes walk from the camping, and a 15 minute walk from Chaouen Medina. The national park of Talessamtane is only 200m behind our guesthouse. The Dar Scotlandee guest house in Chefchaouen is a surefire winner with travellers who would like to be somewhere a bit different!! This great value Guesthouse makes a wonderful change from a hotel in the Medina, and offers all the same attention to detail along with warm and personal hospitality. We are just a 15 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride to the ancient Medina of Chefchaouen and ideal for discovering the hidden villages of the majestic Rif Mountains. The guesthouse is a superb base for exploring the area, and linking up with fellow travellers on our shaded terrace. We also arrange day trips to local beauty spots, and guided tours to local villages to see traditional farming techniques. Local honey and olive oil are specialities of the region. A real chance to experience Berber hospitality. Free high speed wi-fi, so bring your devices. Book early to avoid disappointment, it does get busy in summer. We hope to see you soon... Please note- as with all of Morocco, there is a lot of new building work going on all around Chefchaouen. Recently, it has reached our neighbourhood, meaning the gentle sound of moroccans building houses. Although quite interesting to watch the basic building methods, and the lack of any machinery being used, the sound of bricks being cemented together may bother some people. Please consider this when booking as we don't want you to be unhappy in any way while you are here. ... more   less
