My wife and I were curious to visit the North of Morocco, since we've been often in Morocco but always in the South. We stayed four days in Chefchaouen at Hostal Guernika. The place is an ancient Moroccan house beautifully redone.WE wereon the higher floor and there are two beautiful terraces from which you have a 360º view of the old...

One of our favourite hostels during our one month stay in Morocco. Stunning panoramic views from the terrace that will make you want to stay up there all day. Great location in the medina, close to shops and all the major sites. The double room was small, but nice, clean and comfortable. The managers spoke Spanish so it was sometimes...

Lovely interior, in the centre of town. We had a room on the second floor and found the room spacious. The only slight hitch was the shower: hot water and Ok pressure but the showerhead holder was broken. The water also didn't drain fast enough so there was always a slight chance of overflow. The owners don't really speak English...

In Chefchaouen is no problem finding accommodation at a good level. However, with the Hostal Gernika, we were extremely satisfied. Perfectly comes to be situated, near the square with a magnificent two-tier terrace. Good price. Spanish owners speak only Spanish, but it ultimately did not matter. Possibility to order breakfast. The hotel is beautifully renovated and each room has a...

Ok this is a lovely place ..beautifully decorated, very clean, inexpensive and well located. However, there are a few downsides. One, you can only book via phone and they only speak Arabic or Spanish ..I tried my Spanish two calls (and got a very impatient staff) before I could be understood! Second, because there is little English spoken you cannot...

We had a very good stay here, more like a riad than a hostel. The breakfast was quite good, room was nice with a warm shower, and they let us check in early. The owners/managers were really nice and helpful, but they only speak Spanish and Arabic, so if you don't speak it be aware that it may be a...

Everything you need for a perfect stay. The hotel and room was all we were looking for with a great roof terrace. The host and manager Raul was amazing, giving all sort of tips and info and also took us around on his time off. Will definitely return.

Good breakfast, nice and cosy rooms, lovely roof terrace with brilliant view. A very kind and helpful manager (from Spain, speaking fluently English), just a 5 minute walk from the lovely main square of the town. The only thing is the noise coming from the surrounding streets and houses. Besides that a perfect place for your stay in Chefchaouen!

What a lovely place! Our room was very nice, the terrace was beautiful, and service was excellent. It was a great value, and ended up being one of our favorite places during our two-week trip to Morocco. I would highly recommended Hostal Gernika!

Guernika Hostel is convenient to the center terrace. The room was small but more than adequate, especially considering the price and location. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about traveling around Morocco. We had a wonderful, relaxing time there and wish we could have spent more time at this beautiful place. Only reservation is that the streets are lively...
