I enjoyed my stay at Dar Gabriel. Moustapha and Soufiane and the ladies working there were all lovely people and made my stay a great one. I was lucky to meet the owners my first night there and they are so wonderful and friendly. Sitting and talking with them made me feel like I was at home with my own...

Dar Gabriel was definitely amongst the most tastefully done up dars I stayed in while in Morocco. It's also very conveniently located at the entrance to the medina which is a big plus in hilly terrain. The staff too are sweet. The big problem I had was in getting a good night's sleep as (a) I did not realise my...

Hello, Penelope here, Dar Gabriel owner. Thanks for your compliments with the décor and ambience of the hotel. I am not sure when you stayed, but I t wonder if it would have been better for you to have changed rooms - if one was available. Certainly we will have more cooling fans when it is warm again. Let us...

Really can't give it a 5 due to the quality of the towels and lack of soap and amenities in the room. The Internet quality was excellent, the location is very good and the owners very helpful. Should definitely rate a 5 with a bit of attention to the room amenities. Breakfast was fruit and bread with an option of...

Hello, thanks for your review. I am sorry but we just provide soap in the bathrooms, not shampoos or body wash. We could easily have gone across the street to Aziz's herb and spice shop and bought you some Argan Oil shampoo or hammam soap.... another time. Best regards Penelope

The staff at Dar Gabriel were wonderful with giving us recommendations on where to go, eat, what to do, etc... they were always around to help or answer a question in a friendly and caring way! Location was very easy to get to from the point where taxi drops you off so you don't have to go too far at...

Penny here, one of hotel owners, thanks for the photos of our new hotel sign by the way. It has been a challenge getting maps of Chefchaouen, but Soufiane and Joanna have done it, they are brilliant. Mustapha is a master of the fruit salad, really glad you came, and enjoy the time you have left in Morocco. We are...

I loved this place. I came with 2 friends, and we split rooms, it's a very sweet Dar with winding steps, and amazing terrace over Chefchaouen, and lovely staff (Joanne and Sofian). Blankets are handmade in chefchaouen, perfect advice for place to go on a strict timeline. And Chefchaouen is just gorgeous. really lovely. Nothing but beauty. give yourself at...

First of all, the location was SO easy to find compared to other places we stayed in Morocco. It was near the entrance of the medina, close to the sights, yet probably quieter than places in the center of the medina. The best part of the stay, however, was Soufiani - he assisted us in finding the best ferry for...

Soufiane is a very patient, kind guy, and so glad he was able to help you get the right ferry, which can be a bit confusing. We are going to put together a travel document to try and simplify things for travellers. With general information too, like, you can't buy a CTM bus ticket on line, there is another way...

We loved this hotel! The location is great; it's not far from the entrance to the medina in Chefchaouen (easy to find from the CTM bus station). The bed and room were extremely comfortable. As soon as we arrived, they offered us traditional Moroccan tea. This is pretty common in the country, we've found, but we still appreciated it. The...

This lovely, small riad is located a few steps from the main entrance to Bab Souk, so easily reached by taxi (essential but easily found in this hilly town, unless traveling with only a light back pack). It is beautifully restored with modern facilities, the rooms with spacious baths are clean, and the service is excellent. Breakfast is basic but...
