Just loved our stay in Dar Yakot. We reached late at night. The check in process was easy. The manager even locked the gate and took us to a hotel that was open late. He gave us his number to call and came back to pick us up. We woke up late next morning, but they waited for us to wake up and still made an absolutely beautiful breakfast despite it being 11 am. Wonderful city and wonderful Dar to stay at
I loved this riad. The staff spoke spanish, besides french, english and arab. It was very useful. The riad is so beautiful. The outside is full of flowers, and the interior is nice as well. My room was full blue, while my friend's were full pink. Both were lovely. They had several blankets for cold, and since it was in November, it was chilly in Chefchaouen. The breakfast is at the terrace with a lovely view of the valley. The breakfast is the standard moroccan breakfast. Unfortunately, I was sick during my stay in Chefchaouen. But the staff was so friendly and kind. They gave me toilet paper every time we needed. And they kept asking how I was. They were great! Its easy to find as well, and close to the transports in and out of Chefchaouen. I recommend this riad!!!
We stayed here in Jan 2020 for 1 night as couple plus my mother in law. The location is very good, you can walk anywhere, central square ca 5-7 min, parking lot with waterfall like 5 min, directly at the most photogenic places in Chefchouen. Staff is very friendly, checkin is quick, staff also helps you to find your way around and we were even walked to restaurant the first night as we were at night not yet familiar with the surroundings. The rooms are very lovely decorated, we had room nr 2 with a double bed and single for us 2, that also had a large sitting area and nr 5 upstairs for our mother also with double bed but a bit smaller. Hot water was plentyful, we didnt have any issues. The guesthouse is very clean and lovely, the breakfast is served on the rooftop (outside or inside). Wifi worked but was a bit slow at times, but good coverage in both rooms and on the roof and entrance area, so I would assume anywhere. Highly recommended if you are staying in Chefchouen - stag at Dar Yakout, we would return any day. …
The location is perfect, right in the Medina and easy walk to piles of good shopping and restaurants. I didn’t find the merchants pushy at all and the few items I inquired about were reasonably priced. The included breakfast was very good. The rooftop terrace was wonderful, a great place to eat and gaze over the city. There is no restaurant, and breakfast was on the top floor so managing stairs is necessary. Hamza at the front desk was wonderful, helpful in many ways and so kind. Unfortunately, I had a really crappy room, literally right next to the very noisy street. I couldn’t sleep at all between the LOUD prayer calls and people in the street. If it weren’t for the crappy room, I would have given this spot an extra star. It was clean, attractive, and close to the spot where the drivers drop off the customers because the cars won’t fit on the narrow roads. They sent someone to carry my bags which I really appreciated. I would stay here again, but definitely not in the main floor room, the noise was awful.…
Beautiful dar. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Small but have all amenities. An authentic home feel. Lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast with views over chefchaouen. Breakfast of orange juice bread, pancakes jam and honey. Friendly staff. free wi-fi.
