Rooms were absolutely tiny with bathroom that had a miniature shower/toilet in the bathroom. Barely any space to even shower. Was shocked to see that there was a window in the bathroom that opened out onto the common area...yet wouldn't lock. Breakfast was ok....but had to wait for a while until ready. Made me feel that you have to adhere to the rules of the hotel rather than the hotel catering to the needs of the guests.
Nestled near the town centre this delightful hotel had beautifully maintained gardens outside the rooms which were plentiful in there design and ambiance. Service was exceptional with dry cleaning available. Breakfast was sumptuous and plentiful.
Centrally located Riad in Chef, with simple but nice rooms. Would stay here again if we visit Chef again! The rooms are simply decorated and most of the common areas and terrace go unused, but we enjoyed having a home base to go back to. During the day I think they have a single person working the front desk, but honestly Chef isn't the city you want nor need impeccable service. Save those expectations and desires for Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier!
We were greeted by the hotel staff on arrival who assisted us with our luggage. On entering the reception area you are immersed into the Berber culture. The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. Breakfast was also enjoyable with an array of Moroccan treats to tantalize the tastebuds. A quick 2min walk has you in the main square of the Medina. Highly recommended.
As part of an Intrepid trip we had the privilege to spend a night in this unique and quirky placebased right in the middle of the Medina - literally steps away from the entree central square. This means no car access and a bit of walking, but through the hotel a baggage pickup can be arranged. The Riad features extensive decoration in the Arabian local style, with each room different from each other. We were in the third floor so afairbit of narrow stair climbing was involved, but again the friendly staff helped with the lugging of bags. There is a lovely rooftop terrace with good views all around. Breakfast was plentiful and included a good range of dishes. But the main point of difference was the friendliness of staff, with big smiles and very good English knowledge.
