When surveying the lodging options in the Ait Benhaddou area, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to stay in the kasbah in the old town. There are many options in the "new" part of town across the mostly dry river bed, but the lure of staying in the old town was just too much to pass by...even if the...

We stayed just 1 night at the place. The owner is very friendly and welcomed us as family. Why you should stay at this hotel: 1. You will stay at an ancient place not as a tourist but get a chance to feel part of history. 2. You can about the crowds of tourists to explore the place at sunset...

Usually when the electricity in a hotel doesn’t work, you’ll go to the reception desk to see if it can be fixed. This guesthouse has no electricity at all and that is one of its unique selling points. When you leave from the parking lot, the experience starts. This hotel is located in the old city of Ait Benhaddou (yes...

Our family spent 1 night at Kasbah Tebi. A renovated family house in a UNESCO village, the hotel is very quaint. You get there by following the porter's donkey across a small river. There is no electricity but plenty of charm in the candle lighting. The dinner was good traditional Moroccan cuisine. The rooms and bathroom are small and get...

A friend suggested us this place during our backpack journey. Even if we don t usually put our budget for the place we stay at, we were totally glad we decided to go to Kasbah Tebi. It was totally worth it and it will be one of the best memories of our trip. The small discomforts as the no electricity...

The fantastic location in the ksar (the only place based in the old town). It was a special experience to overnight in the old ksar without electricity and only with candel light. The dinner (tajine) was one of our best in Morocco.

Ever wondered what it would be like to stay in a hotel with no electricity? Kasbah Tebi provides this experience. Its excellent staff will serve you dinner by candlelight and give you candles to take to your bedroom for illumination. Fun at first but one night of breathing candle smoke is enough for me. BUT do go. It is a...

A fantastic Kasbah located in the hearth of Ait Benhaddou's ksar (there are only a couple of places based in the old town). There is no electricity, so that you can disconnect from the world for the duration of your stay. The rooms are very nice, the kasbah is magnificent, as well as the owners and the staff. Dinner and...

My husband and I spent one night at Kasbah Tebi and truly enjoyed the experience of staying in a kasbah without electricity. It's such a different and relaxing experience! Our bedroom was spacious and bathroom is great with big shower with hot water. We had a delicious candlelit dinner at Kasbah Tebi (one of the best tajines I've had while...

I stayed in this amazing and unique hotel on my bike trip through Morocco and it was a wonderful experience. The building and the location are fantastic, on a UNESCO protected site. When we cross the river and enter in the village it’s like to turn back in time. The hotel and the village hasn’t electricity and the light of...
