My stay at the Kasbah du peintre was a thrill, top notch service. Everything was so outstanding. This Kasbah is so beautiful, the rooms, the food, the design, the atmosphere and most of all the people I met made my stay unforgettable. I am so thankful that I found this place. Where should I start? Morocco is such a magical place to visit and the best of the best place to stay is the Kasbah du Peintre near Ouarzazate! We returned to visit again because we had such a wonderful time on our first visit. The hosts, the Bendra family, were so welcoming in making us feel at home that we...

This Kasbah is in a village on the road from Ait Ben Haddou to Telouet, we would not stop there if it wasn't getting dark, it was a nice suprice, a renovated Kasbah, well decorated with is own hamman, in a small lost village. This Kasbah is owned by a painter, who is very nice and kind. Views from the...

Staying in Ahmed and his families home/guest house was a nice experience. Located about 10 mins drive from Ben Haddou the house is in a small and authentic village next to a river. To get to the house you park in the village near the clearly marked Kasbah du Peintre sign then walk a minute along a marked dirt path...

This is not a hotel, but a genuine house, located in a small village, 5km north of Ait Ben Haddou. It's not even located by the main street, so you have to walk trough the unpaved pathways for about 200 meters before reaching it. The owners live here with their families. One of the owners is a painter, and the...

We landed here by accident - driving on backroads, we needed a place to stay, and were VERY lucky that when we knocked, they happened to have a spot. This kasbah was started by two entrepreneurial brothers, one a painter an an excellent French speaker, the other an English lit major and excellent English speaker. They have made it a...

We spent one night in this Kasbah. A few kilometres from Ait ben haddou is located in a small and quiet village. From the kasbah there's a beautiful panorama over the mountains and the river bed. Rooms are clean and spacious. It's plenty of carpets all over the house and you can walk barefoot if you like it. There's a...

Ahmed is the most welcoming host- speaks perfect English, is well educated, so is very interesting to talk with. Aziza, his wife, is a terrific masseuse/spa owner in the Kasbah and uses lovely local products. Azdine, Ahmed's brother, is a fabulously...
