Booked a single room "Sting Ray" with shared toilet for $50 a night. People there are super friendly. Fiza and her cousin are wonderful people to talk to. Room has a window that faces the sea. Clean room and toilet is very good. You can rent a towel for $2 and a mosquito net for $3. For charging your phones...

D’Lagoon was the only place in Perhentian that had a dorm room (MYR20) available for me the night before I arranged for a last-minute stay for 5D4N. The setting is very homely and basic. Mosquito netting provided upon request. Board games, traditional games and books available to keep you occupied. Food options are varied; mostly local fare with a bit...

I paid MYR50 a night for a room without sea view with only a bed, a fan and a mirror. The only thing I wish they have in my room is a simple electrical plug. The room is so basic that you should prepare the following, - Towel - Toilet Roll - Mosquito Repellent (in my case, I requested a...

D'Lagoon is remote, but that was one of the appeals to us, further more, it is one of the cheapest places to stay on the Perhentian Islands and has a very local family run feel to it. On arrival we received welcome drinks and chatted to the staff. Then checked into a private room with fan. It's a wooden cabin...

We stayed here 2 nights, one in the treehouse and one in a deluxe room 'marlin' - each room is named after a different fish. The treehouse is 200rm and a deluxe room 180rm. The difference in the price is you get a house on stilts that over looks the ocean giving you amazing views of the sunrise and the...

A remote but nice place in Perhentian Islands. We had some trouble finding nice accommodation in perhentian islands. Everything was overpriced or was fully booked. When we arrived in Perhentian we didn’t book anything because everything was occupied (two weeks upfront) according to booking.com, agoda etc. We looked for accommodation on the island but couldn’t find anything so we decided...

Nice little private resort, dorm rooms are basics but they to the job, Toilets aren't great, definitely bring your own toilet paper. Nice walk to the other side of the island, plenty empty beaches near by. The owner is abit odd but has a friendly pet otter called Bambam

After 2 (rough and overpriced) nights in long Beach, we headed up to the more secluded D Lagoon. We were met by friendly staff, a drop-dead incredible location, and good food! The room was cleaner and nicer than the other places, cheaper, and came with its own bathroom (for 90RM a night). Wi-Fi was available in the common area, as...

This is probably one of the best place to stay in the Perhentians. I mean pricewise and if you're looking for peace and quiet instead of party! It offers great beach and snorkeling is also amazing! The owner when i was there was really nice as well!

My friend and I had not booked any hotels prior to visiting Perhentian because it was all sold out due to the peak season. We managed to grab a room at D'lagoon which was a double room with shared bathroom. The price is very reasonable as the room is extremely basic. I would have hoped the shared bathroom would have...
