We just got back few days ago and decided to share my experience with everyone here. We took the family 3D/2N package and the whole reservation process is simple, Jeff is the guy who faxed the order form to me and I just fax back with the filled form. We took the 10am ferry from Kuala Besut, the ferry ride...

Before our trip to Pulau Perhentian we actually gone through lots of reviews and the conclusion is that PIR has the most beautiful beach but the worst food and not so idea accomodation, as we are more concern about the quality of the natural scene therefore we still choose to go to PIR. Surprisingly PIR has given me a very...

I go to Perhentian a lot and the thing that i love down there are the crew (Domonic, Kim, Chepito and Fadil) those lot of people make the island worth coming to again as they are not only excellent divers, but after the dive they will socialize with you and you get to know them, they look after the dive...

This is one of those places you just have to chalk up to experience with a dash of foolhardy judgement. I did read the reviews beforehand and the overwhelming vote was fairly grim but the beach sounded great. Who needs more than a good beach we thought? Trust me, you won't get anything else - unless truly dull buffet food,...

We went there for our honeymoon, this was the first place we came to on the islands. We bargained a little bit and came down to 240 RM for a "garden view" chalet incl breakfast. The staff in the reception were not very eagre to get us to stay there... When we came to the room there was no toiletpaper,...

Pros 1) I love the room location. Right smack on the beach. The beach is fantastic...better than anywhere I've been on Perhentian (been to Long Beach on Kecil & Flora Bay on Besar) and accommodation wise, its the best that I've been, still yet to check out Tuna Bay. 2) I like that they had a fridge in the room....

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in South East Asia. It's situated on the most beautiful amazing beach which is a terrible waste for such a badly run enterprise. The bungalows are shabby and badly decorated, bathroom shower hardly worked, tap water was all rust colored. Sheets had old blood stains on them, housekeeping didn't change them...

The PIR has the best beach on the island and is probably the most advanced of all of the hotels on the island. It's a fantastic place for families with kids but if you are looking for the whole tropical island experience then PIR's concrete foot paths might not be for you. I stayed in a standard chalet which was...

We stayed at PIR for 4 nights on early April 08. We had a "regular" room (which means the cheapest one). The room was ok (excepted the AC was broken and could not be monitored...you just put it "off" or "on", blowing freezing air on the bed....no way you can sleep with that). The only good point about the resort...

We stayed for 4 nights in the best rooms available, 2 semi-suite seaview rooms. The setting is excellent. Some of the finest white coral sand I've seen. To either side of the bay is a house reef. Coral is quite damaged but regrowing. Good amount of fishes. The reef to the left belongs, strictly speaking, to the Coral View Hotel...
