Good hotel 3 star standard but great location close to Orang Utan and Sun Bear centre.
Got the feeling they have a captive audience due to Sepilok and don't give the service we have been used to on rest of trip. But pool was nicely...More
We were between fabulous stops...Lankayan Island and Sakai Rainforest Lodge. Our agent booked this hotel (we guess) as a sanitized interim location. No complaints, but you could be anywhere in the world, for all you know...isolated from Borneo for sure. Eat elsewhere; the indoor /...More
It's functional but don't expect too much. Our room was very musty and old fashioned. The buffet seems to cater for non-guests. We ate in the bar area, well outside as it's the only place you can drink alcohol. Our food was ok, although others...More
Spent two nights (single nights a few days apart) here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Rooms large and well maintained. Sleep quality excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Swimming pool was the perfect place to relax after a hot day exploring. It is a short taxi...More
We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed more. Close to plenty of things to do. Lovely relaxing feeling and beautiful pool to cool you down after a day out exploring. The restaurant caters for many tastes.

Hi. I think if you are travelling with family I suggest you ask for a non smoking floor and specifically ask for a corner room which are normally bigger. I stayed in a superior room which has no balcony but is big and spacious. It cost a lot less too.
I think that you should go for food downtown which is 5 minutes away south which has aplenty food outlets . I wouldnt recommend brkfst in Ming Restaurant as it is not as delicious compared to the other popular outlets. Plus its pricey to order in room or eat at the restaurants where you can half that cost if eat out.
This hotel is surrounded by forest owned by private landowners that left it idle...giving the nature feel of this hotel. I would recommend this hotel to my sister in Canada as I would to you. I hope you have a great time here and please take your time to savour the places.
