When you arrive, you will have evening boat tour then first thing in the morning around 5 ish. You are going for morning boat tour. Upper river area. Then in the afternoon they will take you to Oxbow tail for jungle trekking. Then if you fancy to go for another boat ride in the afternoon. You can do so or you can drive to Sepilok Orang utan centre or Visit Gomantong Bat cave which nearer than Sepilok. 3 Days and 2 nights are just right. Make sure to bring some mosquito repellant with. Loads mosquitoes out there. It's to warm in the midday to stay in the house so I suggest to wonder out in the village or nearby villages. I have been told that June - Oct is when the Elephant comes back from wherever they have gone. So if you want to see heard of elephants. Come around that time. Be aware that if you chose to stay in a Homestay. It is really basic. Toilet and bathroom in one room and no airconditioner. But if you stay in a resort, it's pretty luxury but expensive. We choose the Homestay to experience the Malaysian lifestyle. And yes, there's quite a lot of things you can do if you're a nature lover. Good luck and hope you and you're family will have a good holiday.
